Jeanne Colin began in 2017 as a dancer and performer with Ayelen Parolin, Éric
Minh Cuong Castaing, Tumbleweed, Louise Vanneste... exploring the relationship
between movement and the unconscious, blending disciplines and practices such as
dance, hypnosis and drawing. With Abysses, the young choreographer continues
this exploration by focusing on dreams and REM sleep, a state of rest in which
nightmares and fear prevail. Starting from this dichotomy between reality and
fiction, feeling and imagination, her piece begins in the form of a reading
after which she allows the body and senses to drift towards a free, liberated
dance. Playing physically and metaphorically with ropes, knots and lianas,
Abysses connects what is hidden and divided.

Alice Giuliani and Camilla Strandhagen travel through intimate, futuristic galaxies to create a utopian dimension where chronic illness is no longer an invisible shadow, but a tangible entity. In Spoonieland, their bodies can finally transform into hidden ailments, fatigue, chronic pain and panic attacks. On the border between fiction and reality, between the personal and the collective, space is made for the unravelling of secrets, the recognition of pain and the discovery of pleasure and love. Alice Giuliani and Camilla Strandhagen met during the master's program in choreography at ARBA / ISAC in Brussels. A spoonie-sisterhood was born, focused on exploring their mysterious relationship with chronic illness, their superpowers and the accompanying pitfalls. And everything is porous as a bodily crack is the duo's first collaboration.
