Een café-chantant in de sfeer van een oergezellig café. Mensen met een eigenzinnige kijk op de wereld vinden er elkaar en geven commentaar op al wat er leeft.

Een Bourgondisch gerecht in een typisch Brussels sausje. Tarara Boum Patei, de 4de creatie van de Zinnefolee, het Brussels koor met mannen en vrouwen van allerlei pluimage.

De liedjes die ze brengen staan niet wars van maatschappelijk engagement. Heel wat teksten werden hertaald en gekruid in het Brussels dialect, maar het publiek zal ook diverse talen herkennen van de Brusselse metropool.

De Zinnefolee, een te gekke bende die zingt zoals ze gebekt is, soms met een vleugje nostalgie, soms met een grote mond. Een flinke dosis zwans en ambiance voert de boventoon en het publiek wordt meegezogen in een surrealistische Brusselse sfeer!

Meanwhile, he is incredibly popular and has been unmissable on the Flemish charts for several years. In 2021, Metejoor's debut album was released with the monster hits "1 Op Een Miljoen", "Rendez-Vous", "Ze Meent Het" and "Dit Is Wat Mijn Mama Zei". The album has since gone platinum and been present in the Ultratop Albums Top 200 for two years.It recently released its second album, "Joris", a very personal record. Avec des compositions allant du mystérieux et contemplatif au cinétique et ludique, l’artiste a donné plus de 230 concerts en Europe, aux États-Unis, au Japon, au Brésil et à Singapour, dans des lieux et des festivals prestigieux. ********** English ********** Mathieu Robert Solo – 15 resonances (Album Release ‘Fifteen Resonances’) In this solo project, Mathieu honors his loyal companion, the soprano saxophone. Through miniature sounds he shares his findings, sometimes composed, sometimes improvised, using those tones as an anchor. He invites the listener to discover a particular microcosm by highlighting all the different angles of his instrument. The source of the inspiration varies from ceramics to jazz, passing through paintings, Japanese culture, improvisation and movement. With this practice of the moment, Mathieu dives into the matter and tries to inhabit the sounds themselves, in search of serenity and paradoxically... silence. + Alexander Pielsticker / Nicolas Kummert - digital shadow This duet is an encounter between a musician playing on a prepared piano and his digital shadow. Alexander's piano is prepared with different objects which resonate and vibrate as he plays, and these sounds are manipulated in real time by Nicolas via his computer. The result is mysterious music, where we no longer know who is doing what. The two musicians manipulate the same sound, over which neither has total control, which brings them even closer than a 'traditional' duo. This creates poetic music that is sometimes abstract, sometimes powerful, even harsh, but also very intimate. The project started when the two musicians met in Arnhem, where they were both pursuing a Master degree; Alex was doing research on the prepared piano and Nicolas on the expressive possibilities of electronics applied to acoustic sounds. ********** Français ********** Mathieu Robert Solo – 15 resonances (Album Release ‘Fifteen Resonances’) Pour ce projet solo, Mathieu met à l'honneur son compagnon de toujours, le saxophone soprano. Il nous livre ses trouvailles au travers de vignettes sonores tantôt composées, tantôt improvisées, ayant comme point d'ancrage l'écoute des timbres. Déclinant son instrument sous tous ses angles, il invite l'auditeur dans des microcosmes particuliers, façonnés par ses inspirations allant de la céramique au jazz en passant par la peinture, le Japon, l'improvisation et le mouvement. Avec sa pratique de l'instant, Mathieu plonge dans la matière et cherche à habiter les sons, dans une certaine recherche de sérénité et paradoxalement...de silence. + Alexander Pielsticker / Nicolas Kummert - digital shadow Alexander Pielsticker et Nicolas Kummert se sont rencontrés à Arnhem où ils faisaient tous deux un Master degree : Alex faisait une recherche sur le piano préparé et Nicolas sur les possibilités expressives de l’électronique appliquée à des sons acoustiques. Le piano d’Alexander est préparé avec différents objets qui résonnent, vibrent au gré de son jeu, et ces sons sont manipulés en temps réel par Nicolas via son ordinateur. Via ‘geluidsvignetten’ deelt hij zijn vondsten met ons; dan eens gecomponeerd, dan weer geïmproviseerd, voortbouwend op het beluisteren van de timbres. Door zowat alle hoeken van zijn sax te belichten, nodigt hij de luisteraar uit in een bijzondere microkosmos. De bron van zijn inspiratie is variërend; van keramiek tot jazz, doorheen de schilderkunst, Japan, improvisatie en beweging. Met deze momentane oefening duikt Mathieu in de materie en tracht de klanken te bewonen, in een soort zoektocht naar sereniteit en paradoxaal genoeg... stilte. + Alexander Pielsticker / Nicolas Kummert - digital shadow Alexander Pielsticker en Nicolas Kummert hebben elkaar leren kennen in Arnhem toen ze er allebei een masteropleiding volgden: Alex verdiepte zich in het onderzoek rond de geprepareerde piano en Nicolas onderzocht de expressieve mogelijkheden van de op akoestische klanken toegepaste elektronica. De piano van Alexander is geprepareerd met verschillende voorwerpen die weergalmen en meeklinken met zijn spel. Intussen manipuleert Nicolas de klanken realtime met zijn computer. Dat levert mysterieuze muziek op, waarbij de toehoorder niet meer weet wie wat doet. Beide muzikanten bewerken dezelfde klank, maar geen van beide heeft er de volledige controle over. Dat brengt hen nog dichter bij elkaar dan een ‘traditioneel’ duo en mondt uit in poëtische muziek die nu eens abstract en dan weer krachtig is.

********** English ********** The dynamic trio from Lisbon comprising João, Tomás, and Halison, who have taken the Portuguese underground scene by storm with their debut album released on January 27th, 2023. With their energetic performances that seamlessly blend dance culture with heavy-hook songcraft, the band has earned a rapid reputation.Drawing inspiration from the repetition/minimalism-centric styles of krautrock and industrial techno, MÁQUINA, fearlessly explores the boundaries of these genres, bringing elements of rock and electronic music into their unique sound. Aptly titled "DIRTY TRACKS FOR CLUBBING," their album showcases a thrilling blend of pulsating beats, edgy bass riffs and noise guitar, challenging the norms and pushing the boundaries of conventional music; they have successfully carved out a distinct and compelling identity in the music scene.Their international first release will be via Fuzz Club Records, out on May 2024.The WRS was born from the jams of three old friends who met on the benches of the St Joseph institute in Charleroi. Coming from different musical backgrounds, they nevertheless share the same passion for psychedelia, DIY and fuzzy guitars. It is therefore quite natural that their path to the psych garage rock scene was made. The band was born in 2018.After a first live at self-published Rockerill in 2019, they attack their first LP which was released in the 2020 summer. Ils viennent d'horizons musicaux différents, mais partagent la même passion pour le psychédélisme, le DIY et les guitares fuzzy. C'est donc tout naturellement que leur chemin vers la scène psych garage rock s'est fait.Après un EP live autoédité, ils sortent leur premier LP, enregistré en une seule prise et en quelques heures. Leur live sur Rockerill est récemment sorti officiellement, fruit d'une collaboration avec les anglo-américains de Mistery Jack Recordings.Le nouvel album de WRS, "Capícua", sortira le 16 septembre sur toutes les plateformes de streaming et sur bandcamp, et vous pouvez précommander les vinyles 45 tours et les cassettes.Un concert de Liveurope :La première initiative européenne visant à soutenir les salles de concert dans la promotion des talents musicaux émergents d'Europe. ********** Nederlands ********** Het dynamische trio uit Lissabon, bestaande uit João, Tomás en Halison, veroverde de Portugese undergroundscene met hun debuutalbum dat vorig jaar verscheen. Met hun energieke concerten waarin de danscultuur en harde gitaren naadloos in elkaar overvloeien, heeft de band sterke live reputatie opgebouwd.Geïnspireerd door krautrock en industriële techno, verkent MÁQUINA onbevreesd de grenzen van deze genres door elementen van rock en elektronische muziek in hun unieke geluid te verwerken. Met de toepasselijke titel "DIRTY TRACKS FOR CLUBBING" laat hun album een opwindende mix horen van pulserende beats, scherpe basriffs en noise gitaar, waarbij ze de normen uitdagen en de grenzen van conventionele muziek verleggen; ze hebben met succes een aparte en meeslepende identiteit in de muziekscene gecreëerd. Hun eerste internationale release zal verschijnen op Fuzz Club Records in mei 2024.The WRS is ontstaan uit de jams van drie oude vrienden die elkaar ontmoetten op de banken van het Sint-Jozefinstituut in Charleroi. Ze komen uit verschillende muzikale milieus, maar delen toch dezelfde passie voor psychedelica, DIY en fuzzy gitaren. For several years, he has also been steadily building a solo career, always collaborating with young talent. For this Carte Blanche, he presents two of his latest projects, The Rhythm Hunters and The Gallands. In the latter project, he pulls out all the stops with his son and keyboard player Elvin Galland.  Prepare for an evening of wonderfully adventurous music with rhythmic twists and grooves!
