As part of the Fare Cinema 2024 event, dedicated to promoting Italian cinema and the film industry.
Trumpeter Mauro Maur and pianist Françoise De Clossey will perform a recital of excerpts from the most famous soundtracks of Italian cinema (Morricone, Piccioni Rota), accompanied by images from the films. Mauro Maur will also comment with episodes and anecdotes experienced firsthand with Fellini, Mastroianni, Zeffirelli, Morricone, Tornatore, Piccioni, Masina, Cardinale..., involving the audience.
Mauro Maur has been First Trumpet at the Orchestra of the Teatro dell'Opera in Rome since 1985. A soloist on more than 100 soundtracks, a personal collaborator with Morricone for 18 years (Ennio Morricone dedicated his concerto for trumpet and orchestra to him), Fellini, Tornatore and Zeffirelli, Mauro Maur has played in the world's most important theaters and concert halls, such as at Carnegie Hall in New York, Suntory Hall in Tokyo, the Pleyel Hall in Paris and La Scala in Milan, and has collaborated with the likes of Gloria Gaynor, Placido Domingo, Pavarotti, I Solisti Veneti, Nini Rosso, Leonard Bernstein, Riccardo Muti, Lucio Dalla and Andrea Bocelli.
Françoise de Clossey is a Canadian pianist of Neapolitan mother and Belgian father. She graduated and specialized in her hometown Montreal. Winner of many international competitions, she performs as a soloist in the most renowned halls around the world, in the United States, Canada, Central and South America, Europe, and Asia. Among the most unique collaborations is the one with the great Brazilian singer-songwriter Gilberto Gil.

Le trompettiste Mauro Maur et la pianiste Françoise De Clossey donneront un récital d'extraits des plus célèbres bandes originales du cinéma italien (Morricone, Piccioni Rota), accompagnés d'images des films. Mauro Maur commentera également des épisodes et des anecdotes vécus en direct avec Fellini, Mastroianni, Zeffirelli, Morricone, Tornatore, Piccioni, Masina, Cardinale..., en faisant participer le public.

Françoise de Clossey est une pianiste canadienne de mère napolitaine et de père belge. Elle a obtenu son diplôme et s'est spécialisée dans sa ville natale de Montréal. Lauréate de nombreux concours internationaux, elle se produit en tant que soliste dans les salles les plus renommées du monde, aux États-Unis, au Canada, en Amérique centrale et du Sud, en Europe et en Amérique du Nord.
