The festival is bubbling all summer long with the Detours Cyphers: the very
essence of the festival!
The Cyphers take place every Wednesday in the center of Brussels and in various
towns in the FWB (Namur, Liège, Mons, Verviers) and abroad (Lille - France, Goma
- DRC, Casablanca - Morocco).
It's take place in 3 parts:
An open stage open to all
A street performance: a dance, circus and street art creation designed for the
street.
A dance battle in a different style each week
The final of these battles brings together the winners of each week on the large
stage of the Théâtre National for a colorful closing evening of the festival on
September 14!

Every Wednesday we blow up our homemade bouncy castle, CANAL PALACE. Imagine;
children bouncing around, attending building ateliers and fantasizing about the
future Recyclart. Parents bathing in the sun and enjoying the delicious food of
our Bar Resto while entertained by inflatable performances.
On Thursdays, it’s time for LIVE MUSIC and POP UP COUR. Every week, another
collective takes over the courtyard and proposes their take on playfulness. With
circus performances by 4Square Cirque, an open-mic with Anticyclone, drag
performances by Bal des Monstres and carnival games by Sadistic. While playing,
enjoy live music of Brussels-based Aili, post-punk band eat-girls or
interdisciplinary artist MUXXXE.
Playful workshops and rituals on joy as a means of resistance and
behind-the-scenes tours of the Recyclart are on the program on Friday. Bake your
own bread in our wood-fired oven or enjoy a vegan or halal Lahmacun. From 11pm,
we welcome you to head into the night and continue playing on a sweaty dance
floor.

des archers, des arquebusiers et des escrimeurs au Sablon.
Les festivités de l’Ommegang présentent le concours de tir des deux serments des
arbalétriers de Bruxelles sur le parvis de l’église Notre-Dame des Victoires au
Sablon.
Arrivé de la place Royale, l’empereur Charles Quint fera son entrée dans
l’église. Les visiteurs pourront ensuite assister à la reconstitution historique
de la sortie de la Vierge par les serments ainsi que le passage du cortège
venant du Parc de Bruxelles.
Le cortège historique ainsi formé, précédé du carrosse, démarrera du Sablon à
20h50 et passera par les rues de Bruxelles pour arriver Grand Place où le
spectacle a déjà débuté depuis 20h45.
Le pourtour de l’église Notre-Dame des Victoires au Sablon se transforme en
véritable village. De nombreuses activités animeront cette évocation de la
Renaissance : des pas d’armes, combats de chevaliers. Des joutes équestres
