Cementing her place in the music scene by being part of Singapore’s most notorious electronic underground label “Darker Than Wax,” UNOS’ music transcends people onto dance floors and puts them into a trance.Céline Gillain is a producer of experimental and electronic music and a visual and performance artist. In her music she investigates and deconstructs social themes. Her debut album 'Bad Woman' was released in 2018 on the Parisian label Drama. ********** Français ********** Le 10 septembre 2021, à l’occasion de la journée mondiale de prévention du suicide, les Boho Strings ont rejoint le contre-ténor allemand Andreas Scholl et la claveciniste israélienne Tamar Halperin sur la scène de deSingel pour un concert de bienfaisance. Hommage à Peter De Prins, professeur et musicien amateur de l’entourage des Boho Strings décédé en 2020, le concert Be A He(a)ro a surtout pour ambition d’abattre les tabous autour du suicide, pour mieux le prévenir et l’éviter. À Bozar, ces musiciens se retrouvent autour de ce programme poignant associant les implorations baroques de Dowland, Bach et Händel aux accents méditatifs et contemporains de Glass, Johannsson, Billy Joel, Silvestrov et Sollima. Le cœur du message de ce concert : chacun peut être un héros ou une héroïne grâce à son écoute. Une discussion de panel avec Dr Catherine de Groof, Yamina Krossa, David Ramael, Andreas Scholl et Tamar Halperin aura lieu entre 18h45 et 19h30 dans la salle Henry Le Bœuf. Cette session aura lieu en anglais et sera modérée par Sergio Roberto Grattieri. Entrée libre. ********** Nederlands ********** Op 10 september 2021, ter gelegenheid van de internationale dag voor zelfmoordpreventie, deelde Boho Strings het podium van deSingel met de Duitse contratenor Andreas Scholl en de Israëlische klaveciniste Tamar Halperin tijdens een benefietconcert. Het concert Be A He(a)ro was een eerbetoon aan Peter De Prins, een leraar en hobbymuzikant uit de entourage van Boho Strings die in 2020 het leven liet. Komaf maken met alle taboes rond zelfdoding, om zulke menselijke drama’s beter te kunnen voorkomen: dat was vooral de bedoeling. In Bozar komen deze muzikanten samen in een aangrijpend programma dat de barokke smeekbedes van Dowland, Bach en Händel verenigt met de meditatieve, hedendaagse toetsen van Glass, Jóhannsson, Billy Joel, Silvestrov en Sollima. De boodschap van dit concert? Iedereen kan een held(in) zijn door gewoon maar te luisteren. Tussen 18.45 en 19.30 uur vindt in de Henry Le Bœufzaal een panelgesprek plaats met Dr. Catherine de Groof, Yamina Krossa, David Ramael, Andreas Scholl en Tamar Halperin. Fort de 15 années de tournée au Québec et à travers l'Europe, le Benoit Paradis Trio a sorti en octobre 2023 • La tête ailleurs • un 5ème album avec toujours le même savant dosage de spleen et de dinguerie. A des textes-images sensibles et décalés, le trio flanque des compositions aux ambiances contrastées où s’imposent avec grandeur le piano précis et lumineux de Chantale Morin, la contrebasse groovante de Benoît Coulombe et les percussions - trombone - guitare - folie de Benoit Paradis. Multi-instrumentiste et auteur-compositeur-interprète montréalais, Benoit a collaboré avec plusieurs projets québécois reconnus, tels que Bernard Adamus, Josianne Paradis, Patrice Michaud, Dany Placard, Canailles, Les Trois Accords, Tricot Machine, Olivier Bélisle, pour ne nommer que ceux-ci. Avec ce trio, il nous sert de la poésie brute sur musique élégante. Loin des courants dominants, échevelé et souvent très drôle.

********** Français ********** Inspiré par Radiohead, Pink Floyd, Toro y Moi ou encore Lana Del Rey, le rappeur londonien Jeshi se fait remarquer en 2017 avec la mixtape « The World's Spinning Too Fast » sur laquelle il collabore avec Mura Masa. Si la musique de Jeshi semble bien loin de ses influences, elle n'en est pas moins diversifiée. À mi-chemin entre la drill britannique et le hip-hop underground américain, son premier album « Universal Credit » lui offre une réelle crédibilité auprès de la presse internationale qui le compare à The Streets et Dizzee Rascal. Un peu sinistre mais surtout drôle, Jeshi nous présente son expérience des quartiers Est de Londres avec une franchise incisive, rappant avec humour et justesse sur la plus grande crise économique que l'Angleterre ait connu depuis les années cinquante. Avec « Temple », son tout dernier single avec qui il collabore avec Fredwave et Elijah Waters, Jeshi confirme qu'il est l'un des rappeurs de la scène britannique du moment. Originaire du sud de Londres, le rappeur, producteur et dj Louis Culture est l’une des nouvelles figures emblématiques du rap underground britannique. Le jeune homme propose une musique hip hop infusée de sonorités house, garage et breakbeat. Avec son dernier projet en date intitulé « When Life Presents Obstacle », Louis Culture confirme l’étendue de ses talents avec 10 titres efficaces, techniques et versatiles. Après avoir attiré l’attention de la presse spécialisée (Complex, TRENCH, NTS, i-D,…), un passage remarqué à la Boiler Room, et en tant que première partie de slowthai, retrouvez Louis Culture à l'Orangerie. Originaire de l’ouest de Londres, Finn Foxell est l’une des forces montantes incontournables de la nouvelle scène rap britannique. D’utiliser les dynamiques et les timbres pour mieux conduire la musique vers des histoires, des plages de liberté. Zo hebben de muzikanten gaandeweg een eigen groepssound en een vrije speelstijl kunnen ontwikkelen. De originele composities van de leader maken de kern van het repertoire uit. Toch is een original van Monk of Ornette Coleman nooit veraf … Het trio kiest voor een sound die de jazz belichaamt, een akoestisch concept dat diep, natuurlijk, levendig en meeslepend klinkt. Jordi Grognard Trio maakt gebruik van de dynamieken en de klankkleuren om de muziek in de richting te sturen van verhalen en tracks die vrijheid ademen. Een zoektocht naar de essentie van deze muziek, op een lyrische, vrijmoedige en genereuze manier.
