During the entire KIDS afternoon, you will be accompanied by professional art historians and animators. These experts will immerse you in the world of art nouveau with a visit to the exhibition: ART NOUVEAU. Unique objects with a tale to tell. Through fun games, you will learn about different motifs and special stories about the objects. After you have gathered enough inspiration, it is time to get creative in the studio during the second part of the workshop. There you will design Art Nouveau motifs to print your own tote bagmotive using real engraving techniques. Draw an ornate flower wreath or cut and paste a duck with bear feet and dragon wings in a collage. Can you think of anything zanier? At the end of the workshop, you can show all those wonderful creations to the adult accompanying you.
It is quite exceptional that all these wonderful works of art and utensils can be seen together in one expo. During the KIDS afternoon, adults can discover artists' jewellery, furniture, book bindings...for themselves during this extraordinary expo. You are in good hands with the animators so your adult companions can take the opportunity to discover the permanent trail which is free of charge on Wednesdays from 2pm to 5pm. Both the games visit and the workshop are given in French and Dutch each time from 2pm to 4.30pm. The KIDS afternoon costs €8 per child. Is this something for you? Pendant l'après-midi KIDS, tu seras toujours accompagné·e par des historiennes de l’art et des animatrices professionnelles. Ces expertes te plongeront dans l'univers de l'Art nouveau avec la visite de l'exposition « ART NOUVEAU. Histoires d'objets d'exception ». Grâce à des jeux amusants, tu découvriras les différents motifs et les histoires particulières des objets. Après avoir trouvé l'inspiration, tu pourras faire preuve de créativité lors de l'atelier. Tu y dessineras des motifs Art nouveau pour imprimer ton propre design, tout en utilisant de véritables techniques de gravure. Dessiner une couronne de fleurs ornée ou découpe et coller un canard avec des pattes d'ours et des ailes de dragon dans un collage. Y a-t-il quelque chose de plus loufoque ? À la fin de l'atelier, tu pourras montrer toutes ces merveilleuses créations à l'adulte qui t'accompagne.
Il est tout à fait exceptionnel que toutes ces merveilleuses œuvres d'art et ustensiles puissent rassemblés dans une même exposition. Lors de l'après-midi KIDS, les adultes peuvent découvrir les bijoux, meubles, reliures... d’artistes dans une exposition unique. Vous êtes entre de bonnes mains avec les animatrices. Les adultes qui vous accompagnent peuvent aussi en profiter pour découvrir le parcours permanent qui est gratuit le mercredi de 14h à 17h. La visite ludique et l'atelier se déroulent en français et en néerlandais, chaque fois de 14h à 16h30. L'après-midi KIDS coûte 8 euros par enfant. Cela vous intéresse ? Tijdens de KIDS namiddag worden jullie steeds begeleid door professionele kunsthistorici en animatrices. Die experten dompelen jullie onder in de wereld van de art nouveau met een bezoek aan de expo ART NOUVEAU. Uitzonderlijke objecten met een verhaal. Aan de hand van leuke spelletjes leer je meer over verschillende motieven en bijzondere verhalen over de objecten. Nadat je genoeg inspiratie verzameld hebt, is het tijd om creatief aan de slag te gaan in het atelier tijdens het tweede deel van de workshop. Daar ontwerp je art nouveau motieven om je eigen design te drukken volgens echte graveertechnieken. Teken een sierlijke bloemenkrans of knip en plak een eendje met berenpootjes en drakenvleugels in een collage. Kan jij nog iets zotter bedenken? Op het einde van de workshop kan je al die prachtige creaties tonen aan de volwassene die je begeleidt.
Het is heel uitzonderlijk dat al die prachtige kunstwerken en gebruiksvoorwerpen samen te zien zijn in één expo. Tijdens de KIDS namiddag kunnen de volwassenen de juwelen van kunstenaars, meubels, boekbanden...zelf ontdekken tijdens de bijzondere expo. Jullie zijn in goede handen bij de animatrices dus jullie volwassen begeleiders kunnen van de gelegenheid profiteren om het permanent parcours te ontdekken dat gratis is op woensdag van 14u tot 17u.
