Schntzl & Carl Stone

The Belgian duo Schntzl, made up of keyboard man Hendrik Lasure and his drumming bandmate Casper Van de Velde, introduces cinematographic chamber music to a world fixated on improvisation. With keyboards, percussion and sampling, they provoke as much as they offer solace. For this concert, Schntzl have invited Carl Stone to join them, a living legend who has been experimenting with electronic music and turntables since the 80s. As a composer, Stone has worked with Bill T. Jones and Takashi Harada, mainly in Japan. In this intergenerational collaboration, Schntzl and Stone share an ear for sonic details and a sense of adventure.   
Bozar brings together a Belgian talent and an international artist under the title Belgium & the World.

Le duo belge Schntzl, composé du claviériste Hendrik Lasure et du batteur Casper Van de Velde, introduit une approche cinématographique de la musique de chambre dans un monde où l'improvisation est centrale. À l’aide de claviers, de percussions et d’échantillons sonores, ils provoquent autant qu'ils réconfortent. Pour ce concert, Schntzl invite Carl Stone, une légende vivante de l’expérimentation en matière de musique électronique et de platines dès les années 1980. En tant que compositeur particulièrement actif au Japon, Stone a collaboré avec Bill T. Jones et Takashi Harada. Dans cet échange intergénérationnel, Schntzl et Stone partagent leur goût pour les détails sonores et l'aventure. 
Sous l’étiquette Belgium & the World, Bozar rassemble sur scène un talent belge et un artiste international.

Het Belgische duo Schntzl, bestaande uit toetsenman Hendrik Lasure & drummende kompaan Casper Van de Velde, introduceert cinematografische kamermuziek in een wereld waar improvisatie centraal staat. Met keyboards, percussie en sampling provoceren ze evenveel als ze troosten. Voor dit concert nodigde Schntzl Carl Stone uit, een levendige legende die al in de jaren ‘80 experimenteerde met elektronische muziek en turntables. Als componist werkte Stone samen met Bill T. Jones en Takashi Harada en was hij vooral actief in Japan. In deze generatie-overspannende samenwerking delen Schntzl en Stone een oor voor sonorische details en een gevoel voor avontuur.  
Onder de titel Belgium & the World brengt Bozar een Belgisch talent samen met een internationale artiest.
