Let’s Play!

Beschrijving

Through items from the collection of the Brussels City Museum, Let’s Play! explores the fascinating history of games.

Present everywhere. Leisure activities. Elements of sociability. Everyone engages in these recreational activities. Brussels residents are no exception. Many objects from the Museum’s reserves attest to this. Card games, board games, game tables, miniature toys for children, more elaborate optical games and much more.

To give context to the items on display, paintings, sculptures, drawings and engravings illustrate how games are played. And let’s not forget the prints and porcelain objects where games are often used as a backdrop or decoration.

Access to Parenthesis Space included in museum ticket.
