om 19 uur de deuren van onze winkel en nodigen we jullie graag uit om mee te
genieten van hapjes en drankjes terwijl je onze lente/zomercollectie kan
ontdekken. Onze styling coaches staan klaar om je onder te dompelen in alle
nieuwe trends en geven je tips en tricks over hoe je onze collecties kan stylen.

À l’occasion de la sortie du nouveau volume de son anthologie sonore des
phénomènes occultes, l'auteur et réalisateur radio Philippe Baudouin vient
présenter son projet Spectra Ex Machina (Sub Rosa), lors d'une soirée
exceptionnelle.
Le second volume de cette anthologie sonore explore les liens entre musique et
médiumnité, art vocal et sorcellerie : Aleister Crowley, Uri Geller, Rosemary
Brown ou bien encore Elvis Presley font ainsi résonner leur voix de l'au-delà.
Au programme de cette soirée : séance d'écoute de quelques extraits du disque et
discussion avec Philippe Baudouin, Stéphanie Peel et Christian Chelman sur
l'histoire du spiritisme et ses croisements inattendus avec la question
musicale.
À cette occasion, les deux premiers volumes de Spectra Ex Machina seront
proposés à la vente.
Philippe Baudouin est réalisateur radio et maître de conférences associé à
l’Université Paris-Saclay. Il est l’auteur de plusieurs ouvrages et articles sur
l’histoire de l’occultisme dont Apparitions : Les Archives de la France hantée
(Hoëbeke, 2021) et Surnaturelles : une histoire visuelle des femmes médiums
(Pyramyd, 2021). Depuis 2019, il poursuit en collaboration avec le label Sub
Rosa le projet Spectra Ex Machina, consacré aux archives sonores du paranormal.
Stéphanie Peel est chercheuse indépendante et doctorante à l’Université libre de
Bruxelles. Son compte Instagram « Les Occultées » est consacré à l’histoire des
femmes médiums.
Christian Chelman est illusionniste et collectionneur. Il est également le
fondateur et l’actuel conservateur du Surnatéum, Muséum d’Histoire Surnaturelle
de Bruxelles.
Le jardin d'Eden, le jardin des délices, le jardin enclos ou tout simplement un
potager. Depuis la nuit des temps, le jardin frappe notre imagination et il a
inspiré pas mal d'artistes. Cette exposition rassemble des œuvres de Lieve
Cauwenberghs, Thierry De Cordier, Frank Depoorter, James Ensor, Brecht Koelman,
Bernd Lohaus, Freya Maes, Jacqueline Mesmaecker, Jean-Pierre Ransonnet, Renier &
Depla, Fabrice Souveryns, François Poubeau, Frieda Van Dun et Jan Vanriet.

Liefhebbers van literatuur kunnen zich verkneukelen aan onze literaire wandeling
in de adembenemende setting van het museum.
Ga op reis met bekende schrijvers en luister naar sterke, spannende, geestige en
ontroerende verhalen. De wandeling neemt je mee in de tijd, maar bespeelt vooral
jouw verbeelding.
De wandeling gebeurt onder begeleiding van een professioneel acteur. Koen Van
Impe brengt je de Nederlandstalige vertolking. Bruno Georis neemt de Franstalige
uitvoering op zich.
Per wandeling kunnen er maximum 20 personen mee.

Les amateurs de littérature ont de quoi se réjouir avec notre balade littéraire
à travers le musée. Cette animation a été développée en collaboration avec
Amusea (www.amusea.com).
Partez avec Victor Hugo, Jean de La Fontaine, Alfred de Vigny et bien d'autres
grands écrivains pour un voyage à travers le temps, la littérature et
l’imaginaire des poètes.
Les promenades sont interprétées par des comédiens professionnels. Il y aura une
sessions en français, avec Bruno Georis et en néerlandais avec Koen Van Impe.
Nous acceptons 20 personnes maximum par promenade.

Lovers of literature can delight in our literary walk in the breathtaking
setting of the museum.
Go on a journey with some well-known writers and listen to some strong,
exciting, lively and moving stories. The walk will take you through time, but
mainly plays upon your imagination.
The walk will take place under the supervision of a professional actor. Koen Van
Impe will give you the Dutch rendition. Bruno Georis will provide the French
version.
A maximum of 20 people can come along.

Stéphan Aelterman peint depuis une cinquantaine d’années.
Par ses études d’architecture intérieure, le dessin et l’aquarelle se sont
imposés dans ses travaux artistiques.
Curieux et passionné de bateaux et du monde maritime, il a reçu, en 2018 le
titre de ‘’ Peintre Officiel de la Marine Belge ‘’ Stéphan vous invite à
partager cette découverte.

Stéphan Aelterman schildert al zo'n vijftig jaar.
Na zijn studie binnenhuisarchitectuur werden tekenen en aquarelleren een
integraal onderdeel van zijn artistieke werk.
Nieuwsgierig en gepassioneerd door boten en de maritieme wereld, kreeg hij in
2018 de titel van "Officieel Schilder van de Belgische Marine". Stéphan nodigt
je uit om te delen in deze ontdekking.

Nu het einde van het schooljaar nadert, tonen de kinderen en jongeren van de
RHOK Academie een deel van het werk dat ze afgelopen jaar gecreëerd hebben.

l'academie RHOK présentent certains des projets artistiques qu'ils ont réalisés
l'année passée.

As the daughter of the child who was left in the home, Greene traces her family
story along the matrilinear line, and the resulting film enters into the gaps in
memory and record. Máthair offers a fragmented and elliptical account of a
search for knowledge in the face of institutional oppression and obfuscation;
the film resists linear narrative and documentary modes, offering us an intense
and revelatory encounter with a shared family trauma.
Scant records and redacted documents describe the negation and erasure of those
who passed through the church’s homes for unmarried mothers. The sensory lives
of these ungraspable women are embodied in choreographed phrases performed by
four dancers, whose costumed movements both gesture towards and subvert the
constrictive clothing regulations of Catholic institutions and the forced female
labour in the church’s laundries. Glimpses of this performance are threaded
between a chaotic collage of archival material and present-day online chat
rooms; the only respite is found in the holding space of the landscape and the
bodies of water between England and Ireland. The silences of the archive are
countered by a dissonant sound score, a pulsing polyphonic composition dense
with complex sensory impressions, and a chorus of unvoiced voices compelling us
to stay with the problem.
Keira Greene is an artist working across film, photography, performance and
text. Her work is preoccupied with the social and organic life and landscape of
specific environments. Her work is produced through a collaborative and
conversational practice of looking, writing and forming enduring relationships.
Recent works are concerned with ideas of the body and the experience of emotion,
in dialogue with an embodied filmmaking practice.

En 1954, une femme Irlandaise se rend en Angleterre pour donner naissance à un
enfant illégitime. En 2024, sa petite-fille – la réalisatrice – retrace son
parcours en reconstituant les fragments de son histoire. Máthair (Mère) s'appuie
sur un réseau complexe d'informations obfusquées, provenant d'agences
administratives d'adoption, des dossiers d'un foyer catholique pour mères et
bébés et de conversations en ligne entre des inconnu·e·s suivant les mêmes
traces d'archives. Máthair interroge les institutions religieuses, le concept de
maternité et le sentiment d'appartenance à un lieu.
Keira Greene est une artiste qui travaille à la frontière du film, de la
photographie, de la performance et du texte. Son travail se concentre sur la vie
sociale et organique au sein de paysages spécifiques. Son travail est produit
par une pratique collaborative et conversationnelle du regard, de l'écriture et
par la formation de relations durables. Ses œuvres récentes s'intéressent aux
corps et à l'émotion, en dialogue avec une pratique cinématographique incarnée.

buitenechtelijk kind. In 2024 volgt haar kleindochter, de filmmaker, haar reis
door fragmenten van haar verhaal bij elkaar te zoeken. Máthair (Mother) is
gebaseerd op een complex web van verdoezelde informatie van adoptiebureaus,
verslagen van een katholiek tehuis voor moeders en baby's, en chatgesprekken
tussen vreemden die hetzelfde archiefspoor volgen. Máthair bevraagt de
instellingen van religie, noties van moederschap en een gevoel van plaats.
Keira Greene is een kunstenaar die werkt met film, fotografie, performance en
tekst. Haar werk houdt zich bezig met het sociale en organische leven en
landschap van specifieke omgevingen. Haar werk wordt gemaakt door middel van een
collaboratieve en conversationele praktijk van kijken, schrijven en het vormen
van duurzame relaties. Recente werken houden zich bezig met het lichaam en de
ervaring van emotie, in dialoog met een belichaamde filmpraktijk.
