A blend of classical music and theatre, this show combines drama, humour and poetry through nine sketches and selected pieces of music from the works of Franz Schubert, presenting key moments in the composer's life as well as major pieces from his oeuvre.

An exceptional encounter between three leading groups from the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, who have concocted a tasty little programme for you. Arsys, Erämaa and Spilliaert are close friends of Chamber Music for Europe, which has supported some of their projects, and they are generously involved in the outreach activities organised by CME. The Zenne Quartet, which spans the repertoire from Haydn to the contemporaries, focuses on a close collaboration with Belgian composer Walter Hus. Throughout the quartet's history, composers have collaborated with performers, as Beethoven did with the Schuppanzigh Quartet or Shostakovich with the Beethoven Quartet. The Zenne Quartet continues this tradition. Here, Hus's 6th quartet will serve as an outlet for the heavy message of Shostakovich's 8th.

Le Zenne Quartet, qui parcourt le répertoire de Haydn aux contemporains, se concentre sur une collaboration étroite avec le compositeur belge Walter Hus. Tout au long de l'histoire du Quatuor, les compositeurs ont collaboré avec des interprètes, à l'instar de Beethoven et du Quatuor Schuppanzigh ou de Chostakovitch et du Quatuor Beethoven. Le Zenne Quartet poursuit cette tradition. Ici, le 6ème quatuor de Hus devra servir d'exutoire au message pesant du 8ème de Chostakovitch.

Het Zenne Kwartet, dat het repertoire van Haydn tot de tijdgenoten bestrijkt, richt zich op een nauwe samenwerking met de Belgische componist Walter Hus. Doorheen de geschiedenis van het kwartet hebben componisten samengewerkt met uitvoerders, zoals Beethoven met het Schuppanzigh Kwartet of Sjostakovitsj met het Beethoven Kwartet. Het Zenne Kwartet zet deze traditie voort. Hier dient Hus' 6e kwartet als uitlaatklep voor de zware boodschap van Sjostakovitsj' 8e.
