Anne Wolf Trio

Description

This trio of internationally renowned musicians will take you on a journey through the colourful world of Anne Wolf's compositions.
Melodic jazz tinged with her many experiences, gradually forging a unique, personal style that can be found throughout the 4 CDs released under her own name.
Trained at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Brussels in the classical and then jazz sections, Anne Wolf has gone on to tour the Belgian and international stages in a variety of formations, playing everything from popular songs to contemporary jazz, not forgetting African, Cuban and Brazilian music.
Anne Wolf won the Django d'Or young talent prize in 2002, and has played and recorded with most of the big names in Belgian jazz.
Theo de Jong is THE Dutch bassist, and the figurehead of a whole generation. He has played with Toots Thielemans for several years, and accompanied stars such as Maurane, Philip Catherine and Dee Dee Bridgewater. He is also a much sought-after studio musician, with no fewer than a hundred albums to his name!
Sigrid Vandenbogaerde trained with Edmond Baert at the Brussels Conservatoire, before going on to perfect her skills with Mark Dobrinsky and Radu Aldulescu.
Her international career is exceptionally eclectic, covering every style thanks to her wide-ranging collaborations with artists from the Beethoven Academy, I Fiamminghi, Prima La Musica and Vloporkestde to Venus, Sharko, Claude Maurane, An Pierlé, Heartland (Diederick Wissels, David Lynx and Paolo Fresu), Chris Joris and the Anne Wolf Quartet. His solo album ‘Gift’ was awarded the Octave Pointculture in March 2016.
