Description
With this exhibition Bcp Art Belge presents two artists. Both live in Antwerp but moved to Brussels with their paintings, two different ways and manner to show their work, different but also fascinating.
Manou KERSTING, born in Antwerp, is a renowned actor often seen in his black comedy show ( Crimi Clowns, Undercover, Matroesjka’s ….) and is part of a family of artists and painters. His mysterious style of bringing movies on paintings give the spectator the feeling to be absorbed in his painting and to participate( see the artwork of the mysterious car with spotlights or another one representing a silhouette of a girl which could not be recognized.)
Rather than use many colors Manou will use duotones in his works. Black, grey and mixed white.
Working on a painting is some kind of adventure different than acting or playing music. Time literally stands still, and the canvas does legit know at some point it is finished…
Luc BOUDENS,born in Courtrai ( Kortrijk )has been gifted with many talents: novelist , poet and also a graphic artist represented in many galleries such as De Zwarte Panter ….
He made a splash in the late 1980s with the other « Beautiful Young Gods » Tom Lanoye and Herman Brusselmans. In a review, the Dutch author Hans Warren talked about them as the « noisy Belgians ».
His visual artwork shown in our gallery is influenced by architecture, geometry and contemporary plastic. The works exhibited here thus form a brief sample of his skills.
Welcome in two different worlds who confronted
« Deux d’Anvers »
