Rotor. Entangled matter

This fall, A+ Architecture in Belgium and Bozar present the exhibition Entangled Matter. With this expo, Brussels-based collective Rotor explores the way building resources and raw materials circulate.  
Rotor has been known for its work on architecture, ecology and recycling for almost 20 years. With a broad spectrum of projects, they constantly strive to investigate and question the organisation of material flows. 
As part of this exhibition, the filmmaking duo Bêka & Lemoine will present a series of never-before-seen short films shot at sites of mining, production and material processing. The films engage with the collective's reflections on the challenges facing the construction industry, particularly in relation to the environmental crisis.

Dit najaar presenteren A+ Architecture in Belgium en Bozar de tentoonstelling Entangled Matter. Het Brusselse collectief Rotor onderzoekt met deze expo de manier waarop bouwmaterialen en grondstoffen circuleren. 
Rotor staat al bijna 20 jaar bekend om zijn werk op het gebied van architectuur, ecologie en recycling. Met een breed spectrum aan projecten streven zij er voortdurend naar om de organisatie van materiaalstromen te onderzoeken en in vraag te stellen. 
In het kader van deze tentoonstelling presenteert het filmmakersduo Bêka & Lemoine een reeks nog nooit eerder vertoonde kortfilms, opgenomen op locaties van ontginning, productie en materiaalverwerking. De films gaan een dialoog aan met de reflecties van het collectief over de uitdagingen waarmee de bouwsector geconfronteerd wordt, in het bijzonder in relatie tot de milieucrisis.

Cet automne, A+ Architecture in Belgium et Bozar présentent Entangled Matter. Avec cette exposition, le collectif bruxellois Rotor interroge la façon dont circulent les flux de matériaux et pose un regard critique sur leur propre position dans l’économie de la construction. 
Depuis près de 20 ans, Rotor étudie l’organisation de ces flux à travers divers projets et s'est fait connaître pour son engagement dans les domaines de l’écologie, l’architecture et du réemploi des matériaux. 
Dans cette exposition, le duo de cinéastes Bêka & Lemoine présente une série de courts-métrages inédits tournés sur des sites d’extraction, de production et d’organisation de la circulation des matériaux. Ceux-ci témoignent de la complexité de ces pratiques. Ces films lancent un dialogue autour des réflexions que mène le collectif sur les enjeux auxquels fait face le secteur de la construction, notamment en lien avec les crises environnementales.
