Spring Tone celebrates the essence of springtime and the blooming of flowers. In the first part, attendees will enjoy the soulful melodies of German Lieder by F. Mendelssohn and Brahms, accompanied by a piano interlude with music by R. Schumann. This first part evokes the freshness of the season, with a recurring theme of flowers and the awakening of spring. In the second part, the audience will experience the captivating opera duets of Tchaikovsky, Delibes, and Offenbach. Attendees are invited to join for an evening of music that captures the beauty and vitality of springtime.

"Ta Mavra Moura" is a three-piece band from Athens, Greece. While their repertoire is centered around Greek folk music of the twentieth century like the styles of rebetiko and laiko, their sound also touches upon more traditional flavors and even expands into modern areas like the compositions of Manos Hatzidakis and Nikos Xydakis. The band consists of bouzouki and guitar which is the basis of the urban folk sound of Athens during era of Rebetiko. A unique element of their music is the use of flute that while being unusual in such an orchestra, blends in perfectly and opens new horizons to their sound. Meanwhile, their three voices singing solo or in harmony complete their musical imagery. The concept is inspired by the travels and thoughts of Alexandra David-Néel. For the occasion Daniel created a new raaga ‘Alexandra’ This raaga is actually close to the classical Vasant Mukhari . Inspired by the work of Cuban poet and essayist Nicolás Guillén, this theme emphasises the importance of integrating Afro-Cubans into a diverse society while fighting against imperialism and neocolonialism. This year, the festival takes place over three days in two Brussels venues: Bozar (25/05) and BRASS (01/06 & 02/06). The programme includes concerts, a conference, video mapping, a performance, theatre for young audiences and a dance workshop. During the three days, you can also tune in to What is Hip! Le Duo hindustani Amit & Apratim C'est l’histoire d’une complicité musicale entre deux amis pratiquant cette musique depuis leur plus tendre enfance. Ils se produisent sur les scènes exigeantes de leur ville Calcutta, aux États Unis en Europe, et partagent cette musique intimiste du Nord de l'Inde. Leur récent succès à Rome en juin 2022, lors de la summer Mela, fut suivi par une création de rencontre musicale en résidence chez les Dominicains de Haute Alsace en 20233 Au fil d'un Raaga, ils expriment des sentiments de l'âme, des saisons, des moments du jour et de la nuit. Des musiciens professionnels issus de la musique classique, du jazz, de la musique traditionnelle romaine, du folk hongrois et de la musique de café présentent un programme de musique réconfortante, alternant danses passionnantes et mélodies émouvantes. Le leader René Bikar est un guitariste régulier de Roby Lakatos et joue du violon virtuose dans son propre ensemble. Christy Collett, violoniste classique passionnée de musique rom, joue le deuxième violon, avec Jan Samko au cymbalum, Vojtech Hanko au piano et Mato et Zoltán Pokuta à la guitare et à la contrebasse.
