********** English ********** The Opera and how this leads new generations. Turandot, one of the most famous Opera of Italian melodrama, 100 years after the death of its composer G.Puccini, will be staged under the artistic direction of Europa InCanto and director Germano Neri. The show is an adaptation of the original Opera and represents the final moment of the project carried out in Belgian primary schools and European schools, with the coordination of OperaMus. During 4 performances, the children of 10 schools participating in the project will interact on stage with professional opera singers, in a riot of music and colours. After 6 months of preparation, children of 13 different nationalities will sing, in the original language, the most beautiful arias from the Opera. The school project was carried out thanks to the support of the Italian Embassy in Belgium and its school office, the Italian Cultural Institute of Brussels and the Féderation Wallonie-Bruxelles. Orchestra Europa InCanto, conducted by Germano Neri. ********** Français ********** La capacité de l’Opéra à enchanter les nouvelles générations. Turandot, l'une des Opéra les plus célèbres du mélodrame italien, 100 ans après la mort de son compositeur G.Puccini, sera mise en scène sous la direction artistique d'Europa InCanto et du Maestro Germano Neri. Le spectacle est une adaptation de l'Opéra original et représente le dernier moment du projet Scuola inCanto mené dans les écoles primaires belges et européennes, avec la coordination d'OperaMus et le support de ses coachs vocaux. Tijdens 4 optredens zullen de kinderen van 10 scholen die deelnemen aan het project op het podium communiceren met professionele operazangers, in een rel van muziek en kleuren. Na 6 maanden voorbereiding zingen kinderen van 13 verschillende nationaliteiten in de originele taal de mooiste aria’s uit de Opera. ********** Français ********** La poétesse, vocaliste et multi-instrumentiste américano-canadienne Vera Sola est difficile à cerner. On l'a, tour à tour, décrite comme « l'enfant perdu de Leonard Cohen et de Nancy Sinatra », « Nick Cave dans le rôle de Staggerlee », « Patsy Cline à la tête d'un Warpaint minimaliste » et « PJ Harvey dans son état le plus irascible, les dents arrachées ». Mais rien de tout cela ne donne une image complète de la situation. Avec son style de finger-picking tordu et cassant, son vibrato obsédant et sa capacité à faire passer sa voix d'un hurlement guttural à un bégaiement doux comme un murmure, elle bouscule les genres et semble plier le temps. Ses albums ont été largement salués, mais Vera est surtout connue pour sa présence hypnotique sur scène. Selon le magazine Loud and Quiet, elle est comme « un androïde de Westworld devenu rebelle ; un anachronisme vivant, capable à la fois de badiner sur scène et d'occuper les personnages de ses chansons avec force, se déplaçant comme si elle était possédée par eux pendant qu'elle joue ».Son deuxième album, « Peacemaker », sort aujourd'hui sur City Slang Records. ********** Nederlands ********** De Amerikaans-Canadese dichteres, zangeres en multi-instrumentaliste Vera Sola is moeilijk in een hokje te plaatsen. Au menu : un album imprégné d’influences allant de Black Sabbath aux Beatles, le tout agrémenté de sonorités de jazz électronique expérimental, de grunge et de guitares déchaînées. De quoi se mettre sous la dent un mélange détonant qui ravira les amoureux de rock psychédélique, hyperactif et décalé. Composé du chanteur George Haverson, le bassiste Oli Shasha et les guitaristes Callum Parker et Harry Southerton dans le cadre d'une association musicale qu'ils ont rapidement abandonnée en même temps que la vie nocturne de la ville, FEET s'est fait connaître de manière classique - avec un premier single exceptionnel, « Petty Thieving », et la réputation d'un groupe exceptionnel sur scène.
