The sun completes its journey in the night, its ‘fourth step’. This is the step accomplished by three women who enter the world of dreams, impressions, anticipation, and memory.

Immersed in this volatile, changing material, they slide, get stuck, drift, and open up breaches in which they instantly resurrect lost or intensely longed-for people. Images rise to the surface as though they were memories on the skin. They incarnate these images, and the mind wanders freely through suggestions and strange evocations laced with humour.

Anne-Sophie Lancelin and her accomplices create inspiring, evocative atmospheres using a level of execution that confirms their strength.

Le soleil termine sa course apparente dans la nuit, c’est son « quatrième pas » : celui qu’accomplissent à leur façon trois femmes qui rejoignent l’univers des rêves, des impressions, de l’anticipation et du souvenir.

Plongées dans cette matière instable et changeante, elles glissent, s’enlisent, dérivent et ouvrent des brèches où elles font revivre instantanément des êtres perdus ou intensément cherchés. Des images remontent à la surface comme des mémoires sur la peau. Elles les incarnent et l’esprit voyage libre dans leurs suggestions et leurs évocations étranges mêlées d’humour.

Anne-Sophie Lancelin crée avec ses complices des atmosphères inspirantes et suggestives avec une qualité d’exécution qui en authentifie la force.

De zon voltooit haar traject in de nacht en zet haar “vierde stap”: de stap die drie vrouwen op hun manier zetten wanneer ze de wereld van dromen, impressies, anticipatie en herinnering betreden.

Ondergedompeld in deze vluchtige en veranderlijke materie, glijden ze uit, zinken ze weg, raken ze uit koers en maken openingen waarin ze ogenblikkelijk verloren of intens gezochte wezens terug tot leven brengen. Beelden komen naar de oppervlakte als herinneringen op de huid. De geest dwaalt vrij rond in hun suggesties en vreemde evocaties doorspekt met humor.
