Bienvenue dans un monde où les frontières musicales s’effacent pour laisser place à une symphonie de genres et de styles. Oubliez l’étiquette, le genre musical ; le Marni Jazz Festival 24 transcende les limites conventionnelles, capturant l’essence de la liberté artistique et de l’exploration audacieuse.
Cette édition puise son inspiration dans une multitude de sources : des rythmes envoûtants de la musique traditionnelle aux vibrations électroniques modernes, en passant par les mélodies enchanteresses du jazz, les pulsations dynamiques du rock et les harmonies apaisantes de la musique classique.
Ces musicien.ne.s belges sont connus pour leur créativité et leur virtuosité.
Nicolas Fiszman, Julie Rens et Louise van den Heuvel ont reçu une carte blanche pour exprimer pleinement leur art, ils se sont lancés dans cette aventure audacieuse pour explorer et repousser des limites. Leur maîtrise et leur passion se reflètent dans chaque note, créant une expérience auditive et sensorielle inoubliable qui éveillera vos émotions et stimulera votre imagination.
Le pianiste bruxellois Casimir Liberski revisite les thèmes de jeux vidéo en trio acoustique et Manou Gallo, la queen de l’afro bass fusion nous réserve en primeur son 5ème album. Pour clôturer cette série excitante, The Gallands, père et fils nous mèneront au sommet du groove accompagnés de guests. La soirée se poursuivra au bar avec un jam, rejoignez-vous, ça va être terrible (jam gratuite) !

Khaled Alhafez: Voice Tarek Alsayed : Oud Muwashah is an Arabic poetry and singing style started about a thousand years ago in the Middle East and Andalusia. The word Muwashah means decorate, improve and embellish. The city of Aleppo was always known for its great interest in Muwashah, passing it on through the generations, and composing on it until the middle of the twentieth century. Khaled and Tarek (both from Aleppo) have been playing Muwashah together for more than 17 years. Op de Kretenzische lier met meetrilsnaren, de mediterrane bendir en met een streepje zang, brengt Dostaki duo muziek uit Griekenland, Turkije, de Balkan en hedendaagse modale composities.

Anirban Das & Diptam Sinha Biswas: North Indian Vocal Raga Concert tabla: Shri Debasish Bhattacharya The brothers Anirban Das and Diptam Sinha Biswas from Kolkata West Bengal form a unique vocal duet of North Indian classical and semi classical music. They perform complementing each other in a traditional form of Indian Classical Music with all its fundamentals and nuances, following the footsteps of their Gharana (School of Music) style. Debasish Bhattacharjee began tabla lessons with his father at the age of seven. Born and raised in Serampore near Kolkatta in the Indian state of West Bengal, he eventually moved to professional music teacher Pandit Swapan Chowdhury at the age of 12 and learned the tabla style of Luknow gharana. From 1987, he received lessons from Professor Bablu Biswas. Until today Debasish Bhattarcharjee has performed in almost all states of India, also in the Usa, Dubai, Russia and in various European countries such as France, Spain, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Sweden, Malta and Switzerland. Since 2008, Debasish Bhattacharjee has been living in Cologne, Germany and is the managing director and tabla teacher of Anubhab Academy. Currently, he regularly plays concerts all over Germany and works on various musical projects in the border area of Indian and Western music. Makam Trio was born out of the musical encounter between Mevlüt Akgüngör (ney/reedflute) and Robert Micin (oud). Together they play pieces from the vast repertoire of Ottoman music and the mystical Sufi music such as taksims, peshrevs, ilahi’s and sazsemai’s in various makams. On this concert they will perform with a special guest, the Ghent based percussionist Hilde De Clercq and create an immersive musical experience. Mevlüt Akgüngör has been passionate about music since childhood. At a young age, he received his first musical instruction from his father in traditional and religious singing. He started his musical career with the saz (Turkish long neck lute), but soon his interest switched over to the Ney, a Turkish reed flute that is seen as a central instrument in both classical Turkish music and the more religious Sufi music. He followed various workshops and master classes with masters such as Ömer Erdoğdular, Derya Türkan, Christos Barbas and Ross Daly. The great ney masters Niyazi Sayın, Sadreddin Özçimi and Ömer Erdoğdular are his main musical inspirations along with other greats of classical Turkish music such as Tanburi Cemil Bey, Necdet Yaşar, Ihsan Özgen, Bekir Sıdkı Sezgin and Kani Karaca. Robert Micin has been playing ud for nearly 15 years. After a first music career in the world of rock and electric guitar because of his interest in other musical experiences he bought an oud during a trip to Istanbul, and started taking lessons at the Arab Cultural Centre in Liège with several great musicians from the Arab world: Raed Khoshaba (Iraq), Anwar Abou Dragh (Iraq), Azzouz El Houri (Morocco) and Elias Bachoura (Syria). In addition to these weekly lessons, he participated in workshops and master classes in Belgium and abroad (Greece, Germany, France) with, among others. Adel Salameh (Palestine), Tarek Abdallah (Egypt), Nassir Shamma (Iraq), among others. Hilde De Clercq studied both western music and eastern percussion and singing, and has a passion for Turkish music. As a percussionist, singer and movement artist, she was and is active in several ensembles. In 2016, she released the CD 'Sudan Sebepler' in Turkey, with the record label Kalan, featuring interpretations of Turkish traditional music and her own compositions. She creates children's performances with Osama Abdulrasol, including Dag Djinn, for "Jeugd en Muziek", and Tulp Vertelt. The new performance "Bablief?" recently premiered at HaConcerts in Ghent. She has been programming Turkish music for the digital music provider Stingray since 2001. In 1981, he arrived in Paris and joined the Marceau mime school. Founder with Michel Carcan of the Théâtre de la Mandragore, he also lends his voice to a number of advertising campaigns as well as children’s programs. He is also the lead singer of the rock band PPZ30. He is the director and actor of the strange Mister Knight. With The Jellodies he proves to be an excellent singer in the color and antics of Thomas Fats Waller and the sung Jazz of Louis Armstrong The Jellodies is a group inspired by the famous trio: Art Tatum-Charlie Christian-Ray Brown:Pat Louis (guitar and vocals) who moves from blues to jazz repertoire with a playing marked in particular by Freddie Green, Tiny Grimes and the great Charlie Christian; Druss Lecomte (piano and vocals) whose colorful playing will remind you of the swing of Count Basie and Nat King Cole, the stride of Thomas “Fats” Waller, James P. Johnson, the humor of Erroll Garner, the playing of ‘Art Tatum. He opened for Fats Domino and Ray Charles. He has a long career as a jazz, blues, ragtime, stride piano, swing and boogie woogie pianist. Et le 8 septembre c'est aussi le jour où il y a quelques années, est née une petite fille qui, en voulant mettre tout ce qu’elle est devenue depuis dans son accordéon et sa voix, a donné naissance à Anmoor. C'est donc un concert ET l'anniversaire de Pauline, et il parait même qu’il y aura du gâteau… Anmoor est né de la rencontre entre deux musiciens et des mélodies. Mélodies qui ont traversé le temps et l'espace pour porter, génération après génération, les mots et les émotions de celles et ceux qui les ont jouées, de celles et ceux qui les ont entendues. Mélodies qui ont parfois tant vécu qu’elles ne sont plus depuis longtemps ce qu’elles furent, qui sont parfois mortes et ressuscitées, ou parfois encore, figées, parce qu’elles ont pu porter, sur les mêmes notes, l’expression d’innombrables générations.
