Description

Rosalie est une jeune femme dans la France de 1870, mais ce n’est pas une jeune femme comme les autres, elle cache un secret: depuis sa naissance, son visage et son corps sont recouverts de poils. Elle est ce qu’on appelle une femme à barbe mais n’a jamais voulu devenir un vulgaire phénomène de foire. De peur d’être rejetée, elle a toujours été obligée de se raser. Jusqu’au jour où Abel, un tenancier de café acculé par les dettes, l’épouse pour sa dot sans savoir son secret. Mais Rosalie veut être regardée comme une femme, malgré sa différence, qu’elle ne veut plus cacher. Abel sera-t-il capable de l’aimer quand il découvrira la vérité ?

Projection à l’attention des publics des structures culturelles, sociales, éducatives et d’encadrement des jeunes et moins jeunes : services d’accueil et d’aide à la jeunesse (MJ et AMO), maisons de quartiers, maisons de femmes ou encore centres d’actions interculturelles ou d’insertion socio-professionnelle... L’objectif de l’opération est d’étendre au plus grand nombre de Bruxellois·es une programmation de cinéma qui s’attache à encourager l’éducation citoyenne en proposant une démarche réflexive sur la société - que ce soit à travers des sujets liés à la diversité, l’éducation aux médias, le radicalisme religieux ou politique, la Shoah, l’égalité des sexes, les inégalités socio-économiques ou encore à la colonisation, l’homosexualité, la drogue mais aussi l’engagement, la militance ou la résistance.

Dans Europe connexion, Alexandra Badea dépeint le trajet d’un lobbyiste qui met tout en œuvre pour modifier les textes de lois votés au Parlement Européen afin de servir les intérêts de l’agro- business. Le lobbyiste parle, il s’empare des mots avec élégance les lisse au besoin sous d’autres plus fréquentables. Qui pourrait douter de lui ? Pourtant derrière chacun de ses succès, réside un désastre pour l’humanité… Le G.I.E.C. crie. Le monde est sourd. Notre système économique engloutit le vivant dans une boulimie démesurée. Nous sommes devenus nos propres prédateurs. Les monstres mythologiques étaient censés inspirer au public « terreur et pitié », les nôtres, devenus prescripteurs des normes et règles de nos vies, y substituent « fiabilité et admiration », aidés du pouvoir de la rhétorique qui transfigure le réel, et dont Alexandra Badea nous invite à disséquer les mécanismes impitoyables, dans une écriture au scalpel aussi politique que poétique qui glace par le réalisme de ses propos, ne nous laissant à son issue qu’une rage salvatrice. La reprise d’un succès en phase avec l’actualité qui, sans didactisme, nous nous encourage à combattre l’inertie du temps.
