Just Landed

Description

The Just Landed exhibition marks the start of a new phase of temporary occupation at Usquare, bringing together a community of artists, designers, scientists and makers. For this exhibition, a selection of residents has been chosen by Ohme, either for their practices in the digital arts or for their hybridisations between art and science. Just Landed offers a glimpse of current creative practices, while hinting at future collaborations within this community.

Through a variety of works, Just Landed explores the interactions between matter, technology and perception. The works on show are at the crossroads of digital art, visual art and design, revealing a wide range of experimental approaches. Some explore the properties of raw materials, whether natural or recycled, highlighting chemical and physical processes that reveal dynamics that are often invisible. Other creations immerse viewers in interactive environments, where sound, light and space are in dialogue.

Traditional craft techniques are also reinterpreted through the prism of contemporary technologies, transforming age-old skills into installations that oscillate between the tangible and the digital imagination. This reappropriation of craft practices highlights the impact of technological advances on the way we perceive and interact with the world.

Just Landed illustrates the convergence of various artistic and scientific approaches at Usquare, revealing how certain contemporary innovations open up new perspectives for artistic exploration. Beyond the exhibition, Just Landed captures a pivotal moment, hinting at future collaborations that will take this creative community in new directions.
