Lauden: Classical concerts in St Bavo’s Abbey
Description
The historic refectory of St Bavo’s Abbey is the backdrop of the Lauden concerts. At dusk, you can attend four concerts that are a twist on the liturgical tradition.
The ensembles have their roots in Ghent and each bring their ode to the power of classical music. They combine passion, imagination and intimacy with musically sophisticated repertoires.

A lot of squares, streets and parks in the Ghent city centre host a variety of

You can only go up the tower of St Bavo’s Cathedral during the Ghent
Festivities. Negotiate the stairs and enjoy the magnificent view of this unique
party for the people in the heart of Ghent. At other times of the year, you can
enjoy the most beautiful view of Ghent from directly beneath the golden dragon,
Ghent’s mascot, on the Belfry tower

there you can continue exploring the heart of Ghent. Anything goes.
Everything comes to an end, and then it’s clean-up time. After ten days of
revelry, the municipal sanitation department pulls out all the stops to restore
Ghent to its usual spic-and-span state. This takes approximately 3 days, so you
should take this into account if you visit Ghent just after the Festivities
week.

augustus 2024. Blokkeer de periode alvast in je agenda. Meer info volgt
binnenkort via www.lokersefeesten.be. ❤️
“123-piano” is a musical project which brings people together through live music
and generates spontaneous reactions.
With the motto “The sky is the limit”, various artists were each allocated a
piano and its location. This ensures that these locations really catch the eye
of people passing at random.
The mobile location is the 123-take-away-piano: on Sunday evenings, two go-carts
with an upright piano will travel from door to door in four suburbs of Ghent.
The pianos are available to all and anyone can use them.
