De Turkse Rock-/popzangeres Fatma Turgut komt naar België voor een exclusief concert in

Genk. Fatma Turgut behoort tot de meest vooraanstaande vrouwelijke rockartiesten van

Turkije en wordt geroemd om haar kenmerkende stem. Met dit concert zal ze haar eerste

Europese optreden geven.

De zangeres maakte in 2007 een vliegende start in Turkije met haar band “Model” waar ze

de leadzangeres van was. De band was heel populair in Turkije en hun albums bereikte hele

hoge cijfers. Helaas ging de band in uit elkaar en ging Fatma Turgut als soloartiest verder

met haar carrière. Haar debuutalbum “Elimde Dünya” (de wereld in mijn hand) kwam in

2019 uit en werd heel goed ontvangen. Sindsdien heeft ze samengewerkt met grote namen

als Sertab Erener, Sabri Tuluğ Tırpan, Emre Aydın en is ze in eigen land een graag gezien

artiest. En nu is het tijd aan Europe om met dit bijzondere artiest kennis te maken!

The Turkish rock/pop singer Fatma Turgut is coming to Europe for a long-awaited Europe

tour. Fatma Turgut is one of the most prominent female rock artists in Turkey and is

acclaimed for her distinctive voice. With this concert, she will be making her first European

appearance.

In 2007, the singer had a soaring start in Turkey with her band "Model," where she was the

lead vocalist. The band was highly popular in Turkey, and their albums achieved remarkable

success. Unfortunately, the band eventually disbanded, and Fatma Turgut continued her

career as a solo artist. Her debut album, "Elimde Dünya" (The World in My Hands), was

released in 2019 and received a very positive reception. Since then, she has collaborated

with notable figures such as Sertab Erener, Sabri Tuluğ Tırpan, and Emre Aydın, and she is a

well-respected artist in her home country. Now, it's Europe's turn to get acquainted with

this exceptional artist!

[EN] Dolu Kadehi Ters Tut, one of the foremost independent teams in the Turkish music scene, was founded at the end of 2014 by Mürsel Oğulcan Ava and Uğurhan Özay. The duo recorded their first album, "Polonya'nın Başı Belada" at home in late 2015. They gained significant momentum in 2016, quickly became one of the most listened projects. They released their first studio album, "Dünyanın En İyi Albümü" in 2017, followed by the "Karanlık" album in 2019. In 2021, they published their self-titled album, "DKTT" on all streaming platforms. Producing their own music videos and crafting their stage designs, the group attracted considerable attention, drawing in millions of active listeners from all over of the world. Their fifth album, “Ölüm Dansı" was released on August 4, 2023. Drawing inspiration from the perspective of Dolu Kadehi Ters Tut, they have started sharing a documentary series titled “Dedim Olabilir: An Independent Music Documentary" shedding light on the independent music scene in the country. Celebrating their 10th year in music, the duo continues to work on their new songs and projects. MARENNA / South Brazil @ RAGNAROK LIVE CLUB, B-3960 BREE Marenna’s current line-up is: Rod Marenna (Vocals), Edu Lersch (Guitar), Luks Diesel (Keyboards), BIFE (Bass) and Arthur Schavinski (Drums). Rod Marenna is a rock singer/songwriter from South Brazil. Being in the music industry for over 30 years, Rod took part in many cover bands and music projects which enabled him to develop his own style, always blending hard rock and heavy metal. In 2014, Rod formed his band, a melodic rock solo project of his own called, Marenna. His songs are about modern everyday life situations, underlined by messages of optimism and faith. The band was #9 in the Sweden Rock Festival Competition in 2015 and in the same year got signed by the Danish label Lions Pride Music which released the band’s EP "My Unconditional Faith" (2015) and the full length album "No Regrets" (2017). Both went sold out and had great reviews around the world. During the “No Regrets Tour”, the live album "Livin' No Regrets" was recorded and then released by Sony Music in 2018 on all main digital platforms while the physical distribution was done by Rock Company (Netherlands). Due the pandemic in 2020, the EP "Pieces Of Tomorrow" (independent) was released digitally containing the singles: Getting Higher, Pieces Of Tomorrow and Break My Heart Again. In 2021, the band then released another single called "Had Enough" which was added onto a physical re-release of the EP along with 4 exclusive bonus tracks in both cassette tape and CD format. Currently, the band is promoting their brand-new album "Voyager" which was recorded in 2021-2022 and has just been released by Danish label Lions Pride Music. TICKETS DISPONIBLES LE 21 FÉVRIER À 11H DOUBLE AFFICHE EXCEPTIONNELLE POUR LE REFLEKTOR MR GISCARD Il s’appelle monsieur Giscard. Il n’a jamais été centriste, ni président, et sûrement n’a développé aucun tropisme pour les diamants. Mais comme son prénom est Valery, il fut un temps où lorsque ses interlocuteurs lui demandaient la nature d’un tel prénom masculin, le jeune homme avait pour habitude de répondre : « Valery ? Comme le président ». Du coup c’était presque devenu naturellement un nom composé et c’est ainsi resté. Gonflé, c’est aussi une manière de s’attribuer une carte d’identité qui atteste d’une volonté de mettre de la distance et du décalage en toute chose. Monsieur Giscard, contrairement à son illustre roi républicain, a de quoi tenir ses promesses avec ce premier programme musical de cinq titres qui pourrait bien provoquer une révolution de velours dans le monde de la chanson française. L’art du décalage est partout chez ce jeune homme de 28 ans, ultra séduisant par sa nonchalance masculine et sa candeur virile. JOANNA Depuis la sortie en 2018 de son premier morceau “Séduction”, Joanna s’est affirmée comme une voix à la fois puissante et éthérée de la nouvelle scène pop française. Autodidacte et touche-à-tout, l’artiste, originaire de Rennes, s’est depuis fait remarquer grâce à Vénus, un premier EP entre mythologie, féminisme et R’n’B, et Sérotonine, un premier album narratif qui emmenait ses auditeurs et auditrices dans toutes les étapes d’une relation amoureuse, du premier regard à la déchirure, ainsi qu’à la renaissance. Aujourd’hui, elle revient avec WHERE IS THE LIGHT ?, un deuxième album au récit plus autobiographique. Plus intime et ancré, il marque un changement musical dans le parcours de Joanna. De l’ombre à la lumière C’est au cœur d’une dépression que WHERE IS THE LIGHT ? voit le jour. Il faut garder cette information en tête à l’écoute de cet opus, baigné dans une atmosphère singulière qui opère comme un remède nécessaire pour apaiser nos maux. WHERE IS THE LIGHT ? est imaginé comme un diptyque entre les ténèbres et la splendeur. Ou plutôt, comme un chemin, qui part des Enfers (citées dans “FIGHTING”, morceau d’empowerment par excellence), pour finir au-dessus des étoiles. Tout au long du disque, les morceaux les plus aériens, quasiment conçus comme des berceuses (comme “RÊVERIE” dont le piano, couplée au chant mystique de Joanna, ont un effet réparateur) laissent place à des chansons d’une intensité haletante, à l’image de “MÉTA DEUIL” et sa production hyperpop qui nous attrape et ne nous lâche pas. Entre l’acoustique et l’électronique, WHERE IS THE LIGHT ne choisit pas. Ou plutôt, il choisit les deux, et apprend à les fondre ensemble, dans des suites d’accords tantôt vaporeux, tantôt acérés. Au piano succèdent les violons, puis les rythmiques rock et même techno, en passant par les synthétiseurs vintage choisis pour l’enregistrement de l’album. Rien n’a été laissé au hasard, jusqu’au moindre glitch : « Les rythmiques choisies sont puissantes, c’est pourquoi nous avons mixé beaucoup de batteries acoustiques avec des sonorités très électroniques, pour donner rendre les émotions physiques » déclare Joanna à propos des choix de production. Rester authentique À la première écoute, difficile d’ignorer que WHERE IS THE LIGHT ? transpire d’honnêteté. Là où Sérotonine imaginait le récit chronologique d’une histoire d’amour fictive, WHERE IS THE LIGHT ? est une œuvre complètement autobiographique, née du regard que l’artiste a osé poser sur elle-même, au cœur d’une période trouble. En partant de l’intime, Joanna raconte l’universel. L’histoire d’une reconstruction, ses hauts et ses bas, qui paraissent parfois insurmontables : « Je me suis retrouvée face à moi-même, et j’ai dû sortir de l’ombre pour rester en vie. C’est ce que raconte l’album : comment retrouver la lumière par soi-même ». Pour ce faire, elle est pour la première fois dans son parcours, pleinement impliquée dans la composition et la production des titres. Après des années passées à observer les autres, à y toucher, un peu, de loin, Joanna s’est engouffrée dans les affres de la création musicale, afin de pouvoir prendre toutes les décisions par elle-même. En résulte 14 morceaux aux productions électroniques et acoustiques, parfois ultra-présentes et impérieuses, comme sur “L’ORAGE N’A JAMAIS ÉTÉ AUSSI FORT”, mais aux mélodies qui savent aussi se faire plus discrètes pour laisser la voix se déployer. C’est notamment le cas du morceau “CE N’EST PAS SI GRAVE”, qui affirme le statut de vocaliste de Joanna, tout en exorcisant ses traumatismes. WHERE IS THE LIGHT ? est un parcours semé d’embûches, emblème de la résilience, du lâcher prise et de l’acceptation. Il marque ainsi la renaissance d’une artiste qui a su regarder au plus profond d’elle-même pour faire naître une œuvre pleines de nuances, à écouter jusqu’à l’extase.
