Talike n’Beko is a musical creation that brings together three versatile and
talented artists from southern Madagascar. Tovo de Mada, Sisike, and Talike
Gelle take you on a journey to the heart of the Great Island, discovering the
richness of Malagasy culture. The ancestral worship, rites, traditions, and
customs of the Antandroy ethnic group blend into this magical music sung in
dialect. The performance features both original compositions and traditional
works, with a prominent place given to traditional Malagasy instruments such as
the langoro (Malagasy war drum) and the katsa (a typical rattle made from a tin
can).
The songs are accompanied by traditional dances such as Banaike, Mangononoke,
Tsinjabe, Tsimoniny, Tsotsoboke, Tsipatike, Tombodraike, Zilikala, and
Poakileke. Dressed in traditional attire, barefoot or wearing Kapa hana, with
Maromogny and Dokodoko hats on their heads, Talike’n Beko offers a truly unique
musical show.

Talike’n Beko est une création musicale qui réunit 3 artistes polyvalents et
talentueux du sud de Madagascar. Tovo de Mada, Sisike et Talike Gelle vous
embarquent dans un voyage au cœur de la Grande Île à la découverte de la
richesse de la culture malagasy. Le culte des ancêtres, les rites, les
traditions, les us et coutumes de l’ethnie Antandroy se mélangent dans cette
musique chantée en dialecte. On retrouve tout aussi bien des créations
originales que des œuvres traditionnelles. La part belle est faite aux
instruments traditionnels malagasy comme le langoro (tambour de guerre malgache)
ou le katsa (hochet typique fabriqué à partir d’une boîte de conserve).
Les chants sont accompagnés par des danses traditionnelles comme la Banaike, la
Mangononoke, la Tsinjabe, la Tsimoniny, la Tsotsoboke, la Tsipatike, la
Tombodraike, la Zilikala ou encore la Poakileke. En habits traditionnels, pieds
nus ou chaussés de Kapa hana, chapeaux Maromogny et Dokodoko sur la tête,
Talike’n Beko offre un spectacle musical tout à fait unique en son genre.

Talike’n Beko is een muzikale creatie die drie veelzijdige en getalenteerde
artiesten uit het zuiden van Madagaskar samenbrengt. Tovo de Mada, Sisike en
Talike Gelle nemen je mee op een reis naar het hart van het Grote Eiland om de
rijke Malagasy cultuur te ontdekken. Voorouderverering, rituelen, tradities en
gewoonten van de Antandroy-ethnie komen samen in hun muziek, die gezongen wordt
in dialect. Zowel originele composities als traditionele werken worden
uitgevoerd.
Er wordt veel aandacht besteed aan traditionele Malagasy instrumenten zoals de
langoro (Malagassische oorlogstrom) en de katsa (typische rammelaar gemaakt van
een blikje). De zang wordt begeleid door traditionele dansen zoals de Banaike,
de Mangononoke, de Tsinjabe, de Tsimoniny, de Tsotsoboke, de Tsipatike, de
Tombodraike, de Zilikala en de Poakileke.
Gekleed in traditionele kleding, blootsvoets of met Kapa hana sandalen, en met
Maromogny en Dokodoko hoeden op het hoofd, biedt Talike’n Beko een muzikaal
spektakel dat uniek is in zijn soort.
