Bruno de Smet (piano)Julien Derenne (drums)Sal la Rocca (double bass)Nicolas Dewalque (guitar/arrangement)  Whether you’re a fan of jazz, baroque or electronic music, I think it’s safe to say that we’ve all fallen in love with a piece of pop music. And in the back of our minds, the idea “I wonder what this would sound like if it had been composed in a more modern jazz style” can more than probably take hold. “When jazz and pop collide” was born of this idea, a quartet made up of Bruno De Smet (piano), Julien Derenne (drums), Sal La Rocca (double bass) and Nicolas Dewalque (guitar/arrangement) inspired by sounds such as Gilad Hekselman’s cover of “And I love Her” or Brad Meldhau’s cover of “Paranoid Android”,… Jamiroquai, Radiohead, The Beatles, Michael Jackson,… They’ll all be on hand to help you rediscover your favorite pop standards. Whether you’re a jazz fan with a taste for the new, or you’re looking for an introduction to jazz through familiar melodies, we’ve got something for you! VIDEO LINK: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dL6ixhYL-B4FREE ENTRANCE 1 drink mandatory

Selim Boudraa saxJeremy Dumont pianoGuylain Domas bassBen Téqui drums Born and raised in North Carolina, Coltrane moved to Philadelphia after graduating from high school, where he studied music. Working in the bebopand hard bop idioms early in his career, Coltrane helped pioneer the use of modes and was one of the players at the forefront of free jazz. He led at least fifty recording sessions and appeared on many albums by other musicians, including trumpeter Miles Davis and pianist Thelonious Monk. Over the course of his career, Coltrane’s music took on an increasingly spiritual dimension, as exemplified on his most acclaimed album A Love Supreme (1965) and others. FREE ENTRANCE 1 drink mandatory
