Tashweesh festival

Tashweesh is the Arabic word for rustling, hubbub, murmur. Many voices come together in the unintelligible murmur of a crowd. Tashweesh festival, curated this year by Ichraf Nasri, will hear murmurs of ecofeminism and decolonization. Artists, researchers, and activists from the SWANA region will explore adaptation strategies and envision a political and feminist ecology while building bridges with other places and models of resistance.

Tashweesh est le mot arabe qui désigne le bruissement, le brouhaha, le murmure. Plusieurs voix s'unissent dans le murmure inintelligible d'une foule. Le festival Tashweesh, cette année organisé par Ichraf Nasri, fait entendre les sons de l'écoféminisme et de la décolonisation. Des artistes, chercheureuses et activistes de la région SWANA explorent des façons d'adaptation et envisagent une écologie politique et féministe - tout en construisant des ponts avec d'autres lieux et modèles de résistance.

Tashweesh is het Arabische woord voor ruis, gezoem, gemurmel. Vele stemmen komen samen in het onverstaanbare geroezemoes van een menigte. Tashweesh-festival, dit jaar samengesteld door Ichraf Nasri, laat geluiden van ecofeminisme en dekolonisatie horen. Kunstenaars, onderzoekers en activisten uit de SWANA-regio verkennen manieren om zich aan te passen en zien een politieke en feministische ecologie voor zich, terwijl ze bruggen bouwen met andere plaatsen en modellen van verzet.
