The Finance Tower is not only one of the most iconic silhouettes of the Brussels skyline, it also houses a large portion of La Monnaie’s costume and set model archives! Jan Van Goethem, head of our Archives Department, will guide you through this rich collection, where every piece of cultural heritage comes with a story or anecdote. We meet at 1:30 pm at the La Monnaie Workshops (24, rue Léopold) or at 2pm directly at the Finance Tower (206, rue Royal).

“Bring a Friend” to the recital Transfiguration

Iphigénie en Tauride (Opera Ballet Vlaanderen)

Before director Rafael R. Villalobos will bring together the three surviving Monteverdi operas in the new baroque diptych I Grotteschi at La Monnaie, he will present his production of Gluck’s Iphigénie en Tauride at Opera Ballet Vlaanderen. MM Friends can attend this performance together at a special rate, and can (optionally) enjoy a lunch and guided tour beforehand (more info to follow).

Jan Van Goethem, notre archiviste en chef, vous guide à travers cette riche collection, où derrière chaque élément de notre héritage culturel, se cache une histoire. Rendez-vous à 13h30 aux Ateliers de la Monnaie (24, Rue Leopold) ou à 14h à la Tour des Finances (206, Rue Royale).

Hoofdarchivaris Jan Van Goethem gidst je door deze rijke collectie, waar achter elk stukje cultureel erfgoed een verhaal of anekdote schuilgaat. Afspraak om 13.30 uur aan de Ateliers van de Munt (Leopoldstraat 24) of om 14.00 uur aan de Financietoren (Koningsstraat 206).
