On Flemish Heritage Day, heritage buildings take pride of place. As well as visiting famous monuments, you can have a look around places that are otherwise not open to the public.

In Ghent, you can visit 20 locations throughout the city. For some you have to make a reservation, but the majority of the locations can be visited freely.

Not only can you visit buildings on Open Monuments Day, but you can also participate in a variety of activities such as walks, guided visits and cycling tours.

This year’s theme is “with heart and soul”.

Are you driving to Ghent? First check whether you may enter the city centre with your vehicle. Clean vehicles may enter the city centre free of charge, polluting vehicles have to pay. Is your vehicle allowed to enter, but do you not have a Belgian or Dutch number plate? You will ALWAYS have to register!

Gratis tweedaagse demodagen op onze velden rond onze site : met oa. trekpaarden - landbouwvoertuigen - demostraties - eten - drinken en op zaterdag optreden met aansluitend een spetterende fuif. Leuk voor jong en oud. Altijd al eens zelf met een graafmachine willen werken? of liever eens meerijden en onze ploeg van dichtbij in werking te zien? Liever een ritje op een trekpaard ? Springen op een springkasteel ? De kinderen op schatten jacht ? Of gewoon iets lekker komen eten van de korte keet. A unique collaboration between two living legends in the game: Evan Baggs & Francesco Del Garda. Vinyl culture at the highest level. For nearly two decades and fueled by a deep passion for recording digging, Evan Baggs has been breaking boundaries with an expansive sound on the outer edges of house and techno. The vibe is equal parts Berlin — his home since 2007 — and his hometown of New York, where a diverse underground scene first inspired his unique approach to DJing and music making since 1998. Francesco Del Garda’s passion for what he does is clear for all to see: he plays with a smile on his face and gets as much enjoyment from his work as the dancers in front of him. They like to get up close and personal, too, because his sets are filled with unknown gems, overlooked gold and speak of his obsession for unique sounds.
