To this end, he has surrounded himself with NY-Belgian guitarist Jeanfrançois Prins, master pianist Vincent Bruyninckx, and virtuosa bassist Bo Waterschoot. The quartet was originally hired to participate as the only musical group at the centenary celebrations of music pedagogue Dante Agostini in 2022 in Urbino, Italy, where the Castellucci family has its roots. Their performance there was a resounding success, and they have been performing regularly ever since.
With Castellucci Legacy, music travels easily through various styles and influences of the jazziztic heritage, putting their personal stamp on it, by means of original compositions and arrangements of great standards, underlining the quartet’s interactivity, and the fluidity of their musical communication.
This new recording, released on GAM Records is a great example of Bruno Castellucci’s mastery, unstoppable positive energy, and versatility.
Michel Mainil, the author of Bruno Castellucci’s biography “Itinéraire d’un Sideman” will also be present at the performance.
