FACTS: The Comic Con of Belgium

Description

Do you want to meet Yoda, The Avengers, Zelda and any Pokémon you could ever think of in one weekend, in one location? No, this is not a Harry Potter spell or wild fan fiction, it’s just FACTS.

FACTS is Belgium’s one and only Comic Con at Flanders Expo in Ghent. Discover more than 200 sales booths selling the geeky gadgets you’ve always wanted, participate in dozens of free activities for people of all ages, learn how to draw from national and international cartoonists, try your hand at virtual go-karting, put on your favourite superhero costume and take a picture with international stars from Vikings, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Vampire Diaries and so much more.

By public transport

Tram 1 connects Ghent’s city centre and the Gent-Sint-Pieters Railway Station with the Flanders Expo site, where FACTS takes place. Bus lines 76, 77 and 78 connect Ghent’s city centre, the Gent-Dampoort Railway Station and the Gent-Sint-Pieters Railway Station with the Flanders Expo site.

Consult the route maps of De Lijn for more information.

By car

The spacious car park can accommodate up to 4,500 vehicles and is easily accessible via exit 14 of the E40 motorway (between Brussels and Ostend) or via exit The Loop of the R4 ring road (in both directions).

By bike

Thanks to the cycle route planner, you can reach Flanders Expo in no time from the city centre. The route is about 5km (and for the quickest cycle route, follow the urban bike points: 1 - 4 - 45 - 46 - 47 - 99 - 98 - 68 - 44). Your destination is located halfway between no. 68 and 44.

There are plenty of accommodations nearby where you can assume your human form again, plop down and enjoy a well-deserved night’s sleep after a day of cosplay. Why not even stay in the Comic Art Hotel dedicated entirely to comic book characters?

Or just don’t feel like finishing your day just yet? You can feel the geeky vibe in Ghent! There are plenty of cafés, shops and restaurants where you can continue your FACTS experience.
