Description
Gaia Duo is a unique music duo with Marilena Chrysochoidi, opera singer, actress, and santurist, and Giorgos Tabakis, renowned guitarist and graduate of the Democritus University of Thrace’s training program "The ancient Greek lyre in education."
We are excited to announce that Gaia will be performing in Belgium!
Our project focuses on the revival and performance of ancient Greek songs, based on the work of the renowned composer and researcher Nikos Xanthoulis, accompanied by the ancient Greek lyre.
Our aim is to bring the rich musical heritage of ancient Greece to contemporary audiences and to seek the auspices of UNESCO for our project.
Giorgos Tabakis and Marilena Chrysochoidi are both passionate about this project and believe that it is a meaningful addition to the contemporary music scene.
