From their clandestine ordinations on a boat on the Danube, Catholic women priests are challenging the Vatican to dismantle the sexism that causes so much suffering. Confronting the cardinals and denouncing the misogyny of the Church, they go all the way to the top, challenging the Pope to defend their sacred vocation.

Director's Biography:

Marie Mandy is a Belgian director and photographer who has created around thirty documentaries, both short and feature-length, screened internationally on television and in cinemas. After earning a degree in Roman Philology from the University of Louvain, she studied filmmaking at the London International Film School. A recipient of the Fondation de la Vocation award, Marie’s films are known for their visual richness and strong social engagement.

Depuis leurs ordinations clandestines à bord d'un bateau sur le Danube, des femmes prêtres catholiques défient le Vatican pour démanteler le sexisme qui engendre tant de souffrance. Biographie de la réalisatrice :

Marie Mandy est une réalisatrice et photographe belge, ayant réalisé une trentaine de documentaires, courts et longs métrages, diffusés à l’international à la télévision et au cinéma. Après une licence en Philologie Romane à l’Université de Louvain, elle a étudié le cinéma à la London International Film School. Lauréate de la Fondation de la Vocation, les films de Marie sont reconnus pour leur richesse visuelle et leur fort engagement social.
