Onder de vlag van KidsOdeGand organiseren we van maandag 22 tot en met vrijdag 26 augustus samen met Gent Festival van Vlaanderen en Casco Phil een onvergetelijke muziekvakantie voor kinderen van 6 tot 12 jaar.

Muzikale voorkennis is niet nodig, de goesting om een CroKant avontuur aan te gaan is wél belangrijk. Er staan namelijk een heleboel spannende dingen op het menu!

samen gezond koken met een échte chef
samen filosoferen
samen experimenteren met klanken en electronica
met z’n allen op verkenningstocht dwars door Gent, zelfs per boot!
Kortom: je kind sluit de zomer af met een buik vol lekkers, muziek in de vingers en een hoofd vol ideeën!

Leeftijd
Kinderen van 6 tot en met 12 jaar, met of zonder muzikale voorkennis.
Wie een instrument bespeelt, kan dit meebrengen.

Deelnameprijs
165 euro per week, warme maaltijden en fruit als tussendoortje inbegrepen
Korting vanaf 2de kind binnen eenzelfde gezin (-10%)
Gentse jongeren uit gezinnen met een beperkt inkomen betalen slechts 25 euro, middagmaal inbegrepen. Neem hiervoor contact op met Annemie Valgaeren via crokant@festival.be of 0477 90 80 16.

BROEI is a bustling venue in an old shed, established in the context of Ghent European Youth Capital 2024. It offers space to about 30 organisations for and by youngsters. In the summer, Bar Broei is the beating heart of BROEI. It is a lively venue where a wide range of activities take place, including brunch on Sundays, open poetry night and live jam sessions. It is also a great place to have a drink and a bite to eat. Are you driving to Ghent? First check whether you may enter the city centre with your vehicle. Piano Composer Festival Op vrijdag 26 april 2024 vindt in Gent de 1e editie plaats van het Piano Composer Festival. Drie gerenommeerde Gentse pianist-componisten (Matthias De Jaeger, Pieter Savenberg en Mattias Devriendt, ) fungeren als curator-uitvoerder van dit uniek evenement. Tijdens een gezamenlijk concert zullen ze elk hun mooiste werken vertolken. Een unieke samenwerking, een verrassende muzikale ontdekkingstocht, een meeslepend en feeëriek concert. 1 ding hebben de 3 pianist-componisten gemeen: ze componeren allen toegankelijke hedendaagse neoklassieke muziek die je meteen doet wegdromen. Toch zijn ze elk heel apart. Ze componeren en vertolken elk in een andere stijl. In the summer months, orchestras, fanfare groups and brass bands treat you to music at the weekly Sunday flower market. The Town Crier of Ghent announces the concerts half an hour before they begin and introduces the music group that will be adding atmosphere to your morning at the flower market. Cydonia Barocca Festival: Baroque festival in Ghent

During the Pentecost weekend the city of Ghent presents an annual baroque music festival with music of the three great masters of German Baroque: Bach, Telemann and Graupner. Every year, Florian Heyerick selects an instrument and brings together specialists from home and abroad to provide the public with this baroque pearls. This year it is all about the violin. Expect next to concerts with cantatas, orchestral works and many chamber also an Open Stage, a Telemarathon, lectures, city tours, a children's program, world and jazz music, and many known and unknown masterpieces performed by a pleiad of outstanding musicians on several attractive sites. Citadelic Festival: Jazz in Citadel Park

Citadel Park is the epicentre of inspirational moments and lively gatherings, where you can enjoy contemporary jazz and improvisational music in a lovely setting.
