Plongeant ses racines dans la musique populaire latino-américaine, la fanfare bruxelloise Chicon Ritmo vous emmène en voyage. Dans ses bagages: cumbia colombienne, rumba, taquirari bolivien, son afro péruvien… La joyeuse bande de musiciens anime marchés, festivals et autres fêtes de quartier et vous fait danser au rythme des cuivres, clarinettes et percussions, les pieds sur terre et la tête dans les étoiles."

Chicon Ritmo, “Brussels' most Latin brass band”, returns on Wednesday August 14 at 7pm for an evening of live instruments and Latin-American rhythms in our courtyard. Come and enjoy a drink in the company of travelers staying at our hostel and local residents in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

Khaled Alhafez: Voice Tarek Alsayed : Oud Muwashah is an Arabic poetry and singing style started about a thousand years ago in the Middle East and Andalusia. The word Muwashah means decorate, improve and embellish. The city of Aleppo was always known for its great interest in Muwashah, passing it on through the generations, and composing on it until the middle of the twentieth century. Khaled and Tarek (both from Aleppo) have been playing Muwashah together for more than 17 years. ********** Français ********** Plazey est un festival urbain amusant qui dure 3 jours, mais qui s'étend sur 365 jours. Il se déroule dans le parc Elisabeth à Koekelberg. Vous pouvez écouter des concerts, assister à des spectacles de danse et de cirque et participer à l'un des nombreux ateliers. Il est organisé par deux centres soci-culturels : PLAtoo et ZEYp. ********** Nederlands ********** Plazey is een plezant stadsfestival dat 3 dagen duurt, maar waar 365 dagen aan gewerkt wordt. Het vindt plaats in het Elisabethpark in Koekelberg. Je kan er luisteren naar concerten, kijken naar dans- en circusvoorstellingen en je kan er meedoen met één van de vele workshops. Het wordt georganiseerd door twee gemeenschapscentra: PLAtoo & ZEYp.

Anirban Das & Diptam Sinha Biswas: North Indian Vocal Raga Concert tabla: Shri Debasish Bhattacharya The brothers Anirban Das and Diptam Sinha Biswas from Kolkata West Bengal form a unique vocal duet of North Indian classical and semi classical music. They perform complementing each other in a traditional form of Indian Classical Music with all its fundamentals and nuances, following the footsteps of their Gharana (School of Music) style. Debasish Bhattacharjee began tabla lessons with his father at the age of seven. Born and raised in Serampore near Kolkatta in the Indian state of West Bengal, he eventually moved to professional music teacher Pandit Swapan Chowdhury at the age of 12 and learned the tabla style of Luknow gharana. From 1987, he received lessons from Professor Bablu Biswas. Until today Debasish Bhattarcharjee has performed in almost all states of India, also in the Usa, Dubai, Russia and in various European countries such as France, Spain, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Sweden, Malta and Switzerland. Since 2008, Debasish Bhattacharjee has been living in Cologne, Germany and is the managing director and tabla teacher of Anubhab Academy. Currently, he regularly plays concerts all over Germany and works on various musical projects in the border area of Indian and Western music. For concert, workshop or guest performance inquiries Debasish Bhattacharjee is at your disposal.
