Shabaka, headliner of the London jazz scene and former bandleader of Sons of Kemet and The Comet is Coming, swaps the saxophone for various flutes at the height of his powers. Last year he gave his last saxophone concert, this year he releases his debut with various flute instruments Perceive its Beauty, Acknowledge its Grace on the label Impulse! Records. Known for his boundless creativity, he swaps his fiery saxophone playing for a more subdued sound full of spiritual depth.
