As a counterpoint to her solo Up Close!, Michèle Noiret goes back over key moments during her 40 years of choreographic creation, from the early days when she met the composer Karlheinz Stockhausen to her invention of dance cinema. Michèle Noiret shares her reflections on the role of the performer and choreographic characters, the use of the image, and the place of stage design and interactive technologies. Using a series of examples, scores, photographs and excerpts, she invites us to see on how her creations are developed and what makes them distinctive, profoundly rooted as they are in a fusion of different stage languages.
