The day after the traditional Sufi Night, Bozar invites you to extend the celebration of Sufi cultures with a morning concert full of poetry. In Here and Now, Walid Ben Selim combines the texts of Sufi masters with his suave, soulful vocals, delicately supported by the arpeggios of harpist Marie-Marguerite Cano. Following the verses of Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwich and Persian mystic Mansur al-Hallaj, Walid Ben Selim sings of love and, beyond the immediate emotion evoked by the music and words, he builds bridges between sacred and contemporary music, between Jewish, Christian and Islamic spiritualities.??

Au lendemain de la traditionnelle Sufi Night, Bozar vous invite à prolonger la célébration des cultures soufies par un concert matinal à l’aura poétique. Dans Here and Now, Walid Ben Selim allie les textes des maîtres soufis à son chant suave et pénétrant, délicatement soutenu par les arpèges de la harpiste Marie-Marguerite Cano. Au gré des vers du poète palestinien Mahmoud Darwich et du mystique persan Mansur al-Hallaj, Walid Ben Selim chante l’Amour et, au-delà de l’émotion directe suscitée par la musique et les mots, crée des passerelles entre musiques sacrées et actuelles, entre spiritualités juives, chrétiennes et musulmanes, entre autres.

In Here and Now combineert Walid Ben Selim de teksten van soefimeesters met zijn suave, indringende zang, delicaat ondersteund door de arpeggio's van harpiste Marie-Marguerite Cano. In navolging van de verzen van de Palestijnse dichter Mahmoud Darwich en de Perzische mysticus Mansur al-Hallaj bezingt Walid Ben Selim de liefde en slaat hij, boven op de directe emotie die de muziek en de woorden oproepen, bruggen tussen sacrale en hedendaagse muziek, tussen joodse, christelijke en islamitische spiritualiteiten.??
