Inspired by the notion of hauntology (Imagined by the philosopher Jacques Derrida and music critic Mark Fisher), in his new creation Steven Michel — a performer for the likes of Jan Martens, Vania Vaneau and Maud Le Pladec — proposes a reflection on erasure and memory, incarnation and disappearance.In this multifaceted work, the four performers move as if floating, summoning to the stage the ghosts of the past whose paradoxical presence questions both our liminal spaces and the limits of our mental perception.A glitch or déjà-vu? Maybe… maybe not.A playful journey to stimulate our serendipity? Absolutely!

S’inspirant de la notion d’hantologie (développée notamment par le philosophe Jacques Derrida et le critique musical Mark Fisher), Steven Michel — interprète notamment pour Jan Martens, Vania Vaneau, Maud Le Pladec — propose dans sa nouvelle création une réflexion fantomatique sur l’effacement et la mémoire, sur l’incarnation et la disparition.Dans cette œuvre protéiforme, les quatre interprètes se meuvent tout en flottement et convoquent, au plateau, les spectres du passé dont la présence paradoxale questionne nos espaces liminaires ainsi que nos seuils de perception mentale. Un « glitch », un « déjà-vu » ? Peut-être… ou pas.Un voyage ludique pour stimuler notre sérendipité ? Certainement !

Geïnspireerd door het concept van hauntology (ontwikkeld door de filosoof Jacques Derrida en de muziekcriticus Mark Fisher), biedt Steven Michel — onder andere uitvoerder voor Jan Martens, Vania Vaneau en Maud Le Pladec — in zijn nieuwe creatie een spookachtige reflectie op uitwissing en herinnering, op incarnatie en verdwijning. In dit veelzijdige werk bewegen de vier dansers in een zwevende staat en roepen op het podium de geesten van het verleden op, waarvan de paradoxale aanwezigheid onze grenzen van mentale waarneming in vraag stelt. Een "glitch", een "déjà-vu"? Misschien... of misschien niet.Een speelse reis om onze serendipiteit te prikkelen? Dat is het zeker!
