Musicien, compositeur, poète, concepteur d'instruments, personnage culte surnommé « le Viking of 6th Avenue ». Moondog était tout cela. Aveugle et sans-abri à New York, il a conquis une réputation internationale grâce à sa musique qui combinait rythmes amérindiens, jazz et musique classique, jetant ainsi les bases du minimalisme. Flagey consacre une journée à la vie et à l'œuvre de ce compositeur emblématique, décédé il y a 25 ans.

Muzikant, componist, poëet, uitvinder van instrumenten, de ‘Viking of 6th Avenue’ en een cultfiguur. Dat was Moondog. Blind en dakloos in New York, maar later internationaal erkend voor zijn muziek die Native American ritmes combineerde met jazz en klassieke muziek, en daarmee aan de basis lag van het minimalisme. Flagey wijdt een dag aan het leven en werk van deze iconische componist die vijfentwintig jaar geleden overleed.
