Ceci est un concert à Covid Safe Ticket ! De quoi avez-vous besoin ?Les nouveaux groupes ne peuvent que rêver du palmarès que Whispering Sons s’est forgé depuis son premier album Image, sorti en 2018 : un opus couvert de critiques élogieuses, une place à l’affiche de Rock Werchter, Best Kept Secret et Pukkelpop, et une Grande Salle de l’AB sold out en un temps record. Les Anglais d’Editors ont déroulé le tapis rouge pour Whispering Sons au Sportpaleis d’Anvers, où les Belges ont assuré leur première partie, et Naomi Campbell est même venue féliciter nos compatriotes après leur concert au défilé de Raf Simons à Paris.Cette année sortira Several Others, un second opus de belle facture, dont le single ‘Surface’ caracole déjà en tête du Afrekening de Studio Brussel. Un post-punk poignant comme on l’entend rarement.

Dit is een Covid Safe Ticket-concert! Wat heb je nodig? Elke debuterende band kan alleen maar dromen van het palmares dat Whispering Sons sinds hun debuut 'Image' (uit 2018) heeft uitgebouwd. De recensies van 'Image' waren unaniem lovend, ze mochten schitteren op de podia van zowel Rock Werchter, Best Kept Secret als Pukkelpop én ze verkochten in een mum van tijd de Grote Zaal van AB uit. Editors legde de rode loper uit om Whispering Sons te laten openen in het Antwerpse Sportpaleis en Naomi Campbell kwam hen persoonlijk feliciteren nadat ze in Parijs op het défilé van Raf Simons speelden.Dit voorjaar verschijnt hun knappe opvolger 'Several Others' en de vooruitgeschoven single 'Surface' staat inmiddels in pole position te blinken in Stu Bru's 'De Afrekening'. Zelden klonk postpunk zó beklijvend.

The reviews for 'Image' were unanimous in their praise, they were able to shine on stages at Rock Werchter, Best Kept Secret and Pukkelpop, as well as selling out the Main Hall at AB in no time at all. Editors rolled out the red carpet to have Whispering Sons open for them in Antwerp’s Sportpaleis and Naomi Campbell came to congratulate them personally after they played for the Raf Simons show in Paris.Their solid successor 'Several Others' will be released this spring and the advance single 'Surface' already adorns pole position in Stu Bru's 'De Afrekening'. Rarely did post-punk sounds make such a lasting impression.
