The world seems to be coming to an end, teeming with the vestiges of a human presence. Cat is a solitary animal, but as its home is devastated by a great flood, he finds refuge on a boat populated by various species, and will have to team up with them despite their differences. In the lonesome boat sailing through mystical overflowed landscapes, they navigate the challenges and dangers of adapting to this new world.
Gints Zilbalodis is a Latvian filmmaker. After directing a string of animated short films, Zilbalodis' debut feature, Away, premiered in 2019. Written, directed, and scored by Zilbalodis himself, Away was awarded the Contrechamps prize at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival and was nominated for an Annie Award for Outstanding Achievement for Music in a Feature Production. Zilbalodis' second feature film, Flow, was selected to screen in the Un Certain Regard portion of the 2024 Cannes Film Festival.

Un chat se réveille dans un univers envahi par l’eau où toute vie humaine semble avoir disparu. Il trouve refuge sur un bateau avec un groupe d’autres animaux. Mais s’entendre avec eux s’avère un défi encore plus grand que de surmonter sa peur de l'eau ! Tous devront désormais apprendre à surmonter leurs différences et à s’adapter au nouveau monde qui s’impose à eux.
Gints Zilbalodis est un cinéaste letton. Après avoir réalisé une série de courts métrages d’animation, son premier long métrage, Away, a été présenté en 2019. Écrit, réalisé et composé par Zilbalodis lui-même, Away a remporté le prix Contrechamps au Festival International du Film d’Animation d’Annecy et a été nominé pour un Annie Award dans la catégorie "Outstanding Achievement for Music in a Feature Production". Een kat ontwaakt in een wereld die is overspoeld door water, waar alle menselijke leven lijkt te zijn verdwenen. Ze vindt onderdak op een boot met een groep andere dieren. Maar het blijkt een grotere uitdaging om met hen op te schieten dan zijn angst voor water te overwinnen! Ze zullen allemaal moeten leren hun verschillen te overstijgen en zich aan te passen aan de nieuwe wereld die hen wordt opgedrongen.
Gints Zilbalodis is een Letse filmmaker. Na het maken van een reeks korte animatiefilms werd zijn eerste lange film, Away, in 2019 uitgebracht. Geschreven, geregisseerd en gecomponeerd door Zilbalodis zelf, won Away de Contrechamps-prijs op het Internationale Animatiefilmfestival van Annecy en werd genomineerd voor een Annie Award in de categorie "Outstanding Achievement for Music in a Feature Production". De tweede lange film van Zilbalodis, Flow, werd geselecteerd voor de Un Certain Regard-sectie van het Filmfestival van Cannes 2024.
