Crywank

Crywank are a three piece anti-folk/punk band from Manchester UK who focus on sad songs, fluctuating between direct and confessional to tongue-in-cheek and self-depreciating. It started as a solo project of songwriter Jay Clayton on the same day they first picked up a guitar. To Jays surprise their simple songs and rough recordings resonated with people online and went viral.

They soon went on to expand the band to a three piece, release eight albums (including the cult classic ‘tomorrow is nearly yesterday and everyday is stupid) and perform over 1000 shows around the world, all whilst being self-managed and unsigned.
