Beschrijving

Harold Fry heeft een heel normaal leven tot hij op een doordeweekse ochtend zijn huis verlaat om een brief op de bus te doen. Het is een brief aan zijn vriendin Queenie die op sterven ligt.Maar in plaats van de brief te posten, begint hij impulsief aan een onwaarschijnlijke reis dwars door Engeland. Hij heeft geen wandelschoenen, kaart of telefoon. Hij weet alleen dat hij moet blijven lopen, om Queenie hoop en steun te geven. Onderweg ontmoet hij allerlei mensen met hun eigen bijzondere verhalen.
