De Rotterdamse Toon

In samenwerking met muziekschool Choy Lessons presenteren wij de 2e editie van De Rotterdamse Toon.

Dit keer een huiskamerconcert van de professionele muzikanten van Lumos Duo: Milda en Diamanto maken prachtige thematische muziekstukken van licht klassiek tot popmuziek op klassiek gitaar en met een fluwelen opera vocaal. Hun samenspel is heel bijzonder en een genot om te beleven.

We nodigen u graag uit om weer een heerlijke muzikale zaterdagmiddag te beleven.

About the artists:

Milda Orvydaitė is a Lithuanian classical guitarist currently pursuing her Master’s degree at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague under the guidance of Pavel Steidl. She is an active participant in national and international classical guitar festivals and competitions. Last summer she won thefirst prize at the International Baltic Guitar Competition. As both, a soloist and a chamber musician, Milda is involved in a variety of projects. She is a member of Pluvia Collective, a collaborative ensemble exploring free improvisation, pre-composed elements and electronics. Additionally, she performs as part of Lumos Duo, a guitar and mezzo-soprano ensemble.

Diamanto was born in Cyprus, Nicosia in 1999. She started her musical studies at the age of 6 with piano lessons. At the age of 15 she was accepted at the music high school of Nicosia where she had piano, theory and choir lessons until she graduated at the age of 18. She moved to Athens, Greece right away after her studies where she studied for one-year classical singing at the Atheneum conservatory. In September 2019 she was accepted for the bachelor program of classical singing in the Royal conservatoire of The Hague in the class of Noa Frenkel where she is currently studying. Diamanto frequently performs as a soloist in many different venues around the Netherlands such as Muziekgebouw.
