Choreographer Aina Alegre takes us through hypnotic landscapes in which dance and music are linked by an ethereal imagination where everything repeats on a cyclical basis. The all-female cast explore the relationships between the body, rhythm, the voice and music using only wind instruments (the trumpet, trombone and saxophone).
The nine performers commune in a common breath, echoing Josep Tutusaus’s electro-acoustic creation, punctuated by inhalations and exhalations, somewhere between ASMR and a techno track.
With THIS IS NOT (An Act Of Love & Resistance), Aina Alegre continues her research into beats, persistence and repetition. The Catalan artist transports us into a magnificent reverie around air and breathing, giving her audience a high-intensity immersive experience in the process.
