Troissoeur (Belgique)

Ce groupe de folk expérimental, né il y a plus de 20 ans, est le fruit de la collaboration entre le guitariste virtuose Pieter Thys et les talentueux frères Rein, Edwin et Joris Vanvinckenroye. Troissoeur démarre avec des influences folk, classiques et musiques du monde. Mais rapidement, ils créent un nouveau style : une pop acoustique et ambiante qui leur est propre.

Sur scène, ils sont connus pour leur énergie, leur théâtralité et leur esprit anticonformiste. Grâce à sa solide réputation live, le groupe a joué sur les plus grandes scènes internationales et collaboré avec le label EMI.

Après une pause en 2007, les voilà de retour, plus surprenants que jamais. Aujourd’hui, ils dévoilent un nouveau projet : Vinistan. Vinistan, est un archipel mystérieux découvert par hasard. Fascinés par ses habitants et leur culture, les membres de Troissoeur partagent leurs histoires en musique. Ils chantent en Vinees, une langue locale, pour raconter la vie quotidienne, les traditions et l’histoire d’amour de deux Vinistanais, Heitir et Steindei.

UN CONCERT CHEZ MATTHIEU
Matthieu aime chanter, il a d’ailleurs participé à des comédies musicales et des chorales amateurs. La curiosité musicale est un art de vivre chez lui, car il n’hésite pas à aller voir des concerts d’artistes dont il n’a entendu qu’un morceau, et desquels il dit qu’ils l’ont « attrapé ». Matthieu aime voyager et découvrir des musiques d’ailleurs… même s’il ne comprend pas les paroles quand c’est chanté.

LIVING ROOM MUSIC WINTER SESSIONS
Dans le cadre de sa saison nomade, Muziekpublique organise les Living Room Music Winter Sessions. 19 concerts en appartements dans les 19 communes de Bruxelles. 19 foyers qui ouvrent leurs portes, 19 soirées intimistes chez l’habitant·e pour s’immerger dans la musique traditionnelle des 4 coins du monde et toujours le plaisir immense de partager l’amour des notes entre voisin·es, entre ami·es ou en famille.

Laat je onderdompelen in de unieke klankervaring van Troissoeur. Deze experimentele folkgroep ontstond ruim 20 jaar geleden uit de creatieve samenwerking van gitaarvirtuoos Pieter Thys met de multigetalenteerde broers Rein, Edwin en Joris Vanvinckenroye.

Wat oorspronkelijk begon als folk met duidelijke invloeden van klassiek en wereldmuziek, evolueerde gaandeweg tot een nieuw genre dat ze zelf als ‘acoustic ambient pop’ omschrijven.

Troissoeur stond bekend als een eigenzinnige, expressieve, anarchistische en theatrale elektro-akoestische band met een ijzersterke live reputatie. De band speelde wereldwijd op grote internationale festivals en tekende bij platenlabel EMI voor zijn cd-producties.

In 2007 gingen de leden hun eigen weg maar heden staan ze terug samen op het podium. Troissoeur wist altijd al te verrassen en dat zal na al die jaren zeker niet anders zijn.

Momenteel werkt de groep aan een nieuw programma Vinistan. Vinistan is een onbekende eilandengroep in de Waldzee. De muzikanten van Troissoeur kwamen eerder toevallig in contact met Vinistan en geraakten gefascineerd door dit gebied en haar inwoners. De Vinistanezen gingen ermee akkoord dat Troissoeur tijdens haar optredens hun leven en wereld zou beschrijven.

De teksten van Troissoeur worden gezongen in het AOV (Algemeen Onbeschaafd Vinees) en vertellen de geschiedenis van het land, het dagelijks leven van de inwoners, en het liefdesverhaal van Heitir en Steindei, twee sympatieke Vinistanezen die Troissoeur leerden kennen tijdens hun verblijf.

Als onderdeel van het nomadische seizoen presenteert Muziekpublique de Living Room Music Winter Sessions. 19 concerten in appartementen verspreid over de 19 gemeenten van Brussel. 19 Brusselaars openen hun deuren voor intieme akoestische concerten met live muziek, waarin je traditionele melodieën uit alle hoeken van de wereld kunt ontdekken. Een unieke kans om de liefde voor muziek te delen met buren, vrienden en familie.

Troissoeur began with roots in folk, classical, and world music. But it didn’t take long for them to forge their own path, creating a fresh genre they call acoustic ambient pop.

Known for their electrifying stage presence, theatrical flair and rebellious spirit, Troissoeur has built a reputation as a must-see live act. They’ve performed on some of the world’s most prestigious stages and released albums under the EMI label.

After taking a break in 2007, the band is back together, more inventive than ever. Today, they invite you to explore their latest project: Vinistan.

Vinistan is a mysterious archipelago that Troissoeur stumbled upon by chance. Intrigued by its people and their culture, the band tells their stories through music. Singing in Vinees, the island’s unique language, they bring to life the everyday moments, traditions and love story of two locals, Heitir and Steindei.

A CONCERT AT MATTHIEU'S
Matthieu loves to sing. He has taken part in musicals and amateur choirs. For him, musical curiosity is a way of life. He doesn’t hesitate to attend concerts by artists he’s only heard one song from—artists he says have “captured” him. Matthieu enjoys traveling and discovering music from around the world… even if he doesn’t understand the lyrics when they’re sung.
