BART LUTTERS “Whisper from Below” paintings exhibition

Description

21 – 27 march 2025
OPENING on Saturday from 16:00h

In his age of rapid technological progress, human beings live longer, healthier, and more efficient lives than ever. At the same time, we seem to become increasingly alienated from the profound human experiences of love, connection, compassion, suffering, and dying. Why are we doing so much better, but feeling so much worse?

In his artwork, Bart Lutters explores this modern paradox of being human in an increasingly technologized mass society. Inspired by his work as a medical doctor and a historian, Bart draws upon intuitive collage and mixed media techniques in a heartfelt attempt to restore the whispers of inherent humanity in a world that has become complex to the point of fracture.
