Description
Death & Rebirth Ritual Art Festival is a three-day art festival featuring ritual performances by international artists. The various stages of death and rebirth are explored through visual arts, performing arts, live music, panels, lectures, workshops, and DJs. This year's edition called "Portals of Incarnation" is built around the theme of transformation. The festival offers a platform to exchange beliefs and experiences among different communities and cultural backgrounds, promoting harmony and embracing diversity. The event is accessible to everyone interested in art, music, rituals, contemplation, consciousness, and personal development. It takes place on 22-24 March at Treehouse NDSM and MACA.
Artists from various disciplines come together under one unifying factor: Rituals. Rituals from various practices, both ancient and contemporary, have the potential to ignite inner transformation. The theme of this year’s edition, "Portals of Incarnations," explores how pain can be a doorway to transcendence. Rituals can assist in accepting, healing, and ultimately transforming painful experiences. The program includes, among others, a Sufi dance workshop with Rasha Vrede, a classical piano ritual by Anima Lab , live music from Maya Friedman and Farid Sheek, panel discussions and film screenings, spoken word and sound healing by Sofia Kaloterakis, and ritual art performances by Wormwood Star, Myrgon, Sajjra (Peru), Giek_1 and many others. The festival concludes with a live DJ set by DJ Isis.
The festival takes place in an intimate setting, with spaceholders who can support participants in their processes. The festival is accessible to everyone interested in art, music, rituals, contemplation, consciousness, and personal development. The diverse program invites self-reflection, connection, and wonder.
