Bobbie Mitchell plays Rzewski

Description

In honor of my late friend Frederic Rzewski, this concert is an occasion to celebrate his life, piano music, and the recent release of my album "Ruins: Late Piano Works" on Naxos. A true Bruxellois by the end of his life, Rzewski wrote many of the piano works on the album in Brussels. Let's gather together to enjoy the music and reminisce about Frederic.Programme:Ruins and Wake Up (from Dreams, Part II) (2014)War Songs (2008)There's No Place to Go But Around (1974)More Music (2021) (USA premiere)Let It Shine (2019)(photo credit: Marc-Henri Cykiert)www.bobbymitchellpiano.comwww.youtube.com/mitchellbobbyhttps://www.naxos.com/CatalogueDetail/?id=8.559928https://www.naxos.com/CatalogueDetail/?id=9.70345Art Base, Tuesday 28/3/23 20h, 15E ( reduced 10E for students under 26 and jobseekers), 29 rue des Sables Zandstraat, 1000 Bruxelles.
