Keren Ilan and Aryeh Hasfari - LIVE at The Godown studio, Amsterdam, 19 May 8pm
Soulful-pop songstress Keren Ilan was born in Vietnam and is currently living and working in Israel. Keren has been exploring her musicality since her teenage years, when she first picked up a guitar. Her songs, influenced by indie & soul scene, were written mostly while traveling around the world.
Keren is currently touring with her latest album NostosAlgos, teaming up for a duo with Aryeh Hasfari especially for this Amsterdam show at the GoDown.
Aryeh Hasfari is an interdisciplinary artist, musician, songwriter and storyteller from Tel Aviv, currently based in Amsterdam. As the co-founder, vocalist, and guitar player of the electro-rock duo WC, Aryeh has been a central figure in Israel's resistance music scene, providing the soundtrack to some of the largest protests against the Israeli government.
His collaboration with Keren Ilan brings out a softer, folky side of Aryeh’s songwriting, with duets about the constant dance between intimacy and distance, familiarity and alienation.
