Transformation Digital Art Symposium 2025

Description

Transformation Digital Art 2025 is LI-MA’s annual international symposium dedicated to preserving digital art. This year, among others, we explore the intersection of art, AI, and robotics in media and performance art. Through presentations, hands-on workshops, and discussions, artists, curators, conservators, students, and researchers will engage with both the philosophical and practical aspects of digital art conservation.

The event features inspiring sessions on preserving computer-based artworks from the late ‘80s and ‘90s, including Amiga and early GPS art (with Esther Polak), the impact of AI on media art creation and documentation (featuring the Somabotics project with Gabriella Giannachi and Steve Benford), and the restaging of Constantina Zavitsanos’ Entrophy (with Sara Giannini and Anik Fournier).

Tickets are available for both days (Passe Partout) and for individual days. All tickets include lunch.

More details of the full programme can be found on www.li-ma.nl
