Dans son premier album solo 'City Swamp' (2024, New Soil), Jake Long crée un univers rythmique captivant. Le batteur britannique, membre du groupe post-punk Snapped Ankles, a fait le tour du monde en compagnie de son sextet Maisha, qui combine jazz spirituel et afrobeat. Plus polyvalent que jamais, Long s'inspire de ces influences, mais les réinvente pour composer ce qu'il appelle lui-même une « suite dystopique ». Au cours du festival, il partage la scène avec une formation de haut vol.

The British drummer, a member of the post-punk band Snapped Ankles, toured the world with his six-piece band Maisha, where spiritual jazz and Afrobeat converge. As versatile as ever, Long builds on these influences but frames them in what he describes as a "dystopian suite". During the festival, he shares the stage with an absolute top-tier ensemble.
